Although being a period building and a bit dated , we could not fault the hotel and had a really nice stay. The staff were more than helpful , nothing was too much trouble . excellent choice and quality meals , comfortable warm room . Our 4 night break was most enjoyable and for the price really good value for... More

Having so much enjoyed our stay a couple of years back, we had no hesitation in booking a return visit. Again, we enjoyed every minute. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. You can see what a happy team they are. Thanks to one and all. Spacious room with bath / shower and comfortable beds. How anyone... More

This hotel is cheap as chips for the area. A three night stay for two of us was less than £200. However the budget price does reflect the budget experience you can expect. The hotel it's self was fine. It is extremely dated in some areas but the room was clean and just big enough. Breakfast! Don't expect much. In... More

I spent one night in this hotel and everything was so lovely. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was very nice with underfloor heating and a bit too warm for me. The only thing that spoilt my sleep was the thick quilt. There was a problem with the heating and could not be turned off at night... More

This hotel has a lovely old world charm about it. The staff are very friendly. The bedroom was cosy with a good firm mattress and we had a good nights sleep. It's located up a very steep hill, about 10 min's walk from the centre of Bath. On a small picky note, the carpet between the second and third floors... More

The hotel was clean and tidy. As we were there in February it was rather cold but the room was adequately heated. The hotel is on a hill but a short bus ride negates this as an issue. The breakfast was traditional English breakfast with the standard continental layout as well. Staff were helpful and polite. As a side note... More

1 Thank Stuart I
JaneMBath, General Manager at The Lansdown Grove Hotel, responded to this review

Thank you Stuart I, for the lovely review. The Lansdown Grove Hotel was originally designed as a house in the early 1800's, there have been many additions in the years since its initial construction. With that in mind we do have some squeaking boards and a unique layout which I believe, lends itself to a property of the Lansdown Grove's... More

Went for a long week end break to bath and stayed at this hotel. Rooms are big, bright and airy. Food was wonderful and the staff great.
