Stopped at this hotel for a long weekend, we were greeted at reception and made to feel very welcome straight away. Our room was a nice size and very clean even if it was a bit dated in its decor. Nice breakfast buffet all you could wish for. All the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The walk in to... More

We booked a five day Shearings break to Bath. We went to the Wallace Arnold travel shop to book, and this was a quick and easy process. We drove to the interchange so as to avoid the feeder trip - this is well worth the £4 per day parking fee if you are able to do it. The transport arrangements... More

Paid £238, plus a £10 car parking fee, for a 2-night stay in what I believed was a non-smoking hotel. Our room was frequently filled with cigarette smoke as a result of cigarettes being smoked on a nearby fire escape. Cigarette smoke was also present along the corridor leading to our room. Management dealt with the issue by posting notices... More

We stayed for 2 nights. A spacious old hotel. Very clean and comfortable, breakfast average. A nice downhill 10 minute walk into Bath Centre. The bed was very comfortable and room and bathroom spacious. Only downside was fire alarm went off twice in one night and there was no direction if to evacuate or explanation or communication that it was... More

After reading other Trip adviser reviews with people winging on about the hill and the dated decor I thought it would be a little repetitive to continue the rant. The beautiful facade of the hotel is most inviting, the onsite carpark is another bonus of the hotel at only £5 per night. On entry the reception area has a warm... More

I spent a weekend here with friends who had stayed previously and thoroughly recommended this Hotel. I paid for city view facing room whilst my friends had rear facing patio room. Firstly , we were greeted by friendly receptionist who gave us our numbered parking bay. The hotel do charge a small fee for this but parking is at a... More

The staff at this hotel are very friendly and attentive for the duration of our stay. The hotel itself I personally think is a little tired looking and old fashioned including the lift but everything was clean and tidy. Apart from our room which needed a bit more TLC. The bath was badly stained which was not appealing to use... More

Lovely room with French doors to sit out. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Staff couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast was excellent. Easy walk to the city centre but get the bus or cab back as the hotel is at the top of a steep hill.

Even though this hotel is old and in keeping it could do with a good touch up. We were not happy to have to pay extra for parking within the hotel. This hotel is not suitable for walking distance to bath centre due to the hill this hotel is situated on

Thank you for taking the time to post your review, Anna P. I would agree that the, "hotel is old and in keeping". Bath really is a beautiful area, the Lansdown Grove Hotel is of a more traditional style, rather than that of some of our more contemporary competitors in the town. We do continue with an in-house refurbishment programme... More

Stayed on the 25th to the 29th July. It's on a steep hill but there is a bus which takes you into Bath. The double room was small but comfortable in the bathroom the shower didn't work very well. The food was very good and the staff were very helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would go back again!!
