Stayed here last summer with my family and again last week and thoroughly e joyed ourselves both times. Fantastic location for central Bath and lovely decor inside. The staff are so helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. Nice and clean with hand sanitizer around/screens at front desk; They have directions on floor to ensure one-easy system and tables spaced nicely out in restaurant so you don’t feel too close to anyone. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

We stayed overnight for a mini break in Bath - the ideal central location to reach all the shops and sights in a few minutes walk, being essentially right on the main high street. The staff were able to accommodate our two children by setting up a sofa bed and travel cot in the room, ready on arrival for which we were very grateful. The hotel is very well presented, modern clean and staff very helpful and polite. We have stayed at this hotel several times - keep coming back, so that speaks volumes. The hotel is clearly taking care over its COVID precautions too, all guests and staff wearing masks as they move around. Some small things for improvement. First, the breakfast was almost entirely booked up - upon checking in (at 5pm, admittedly, but checkin only opens at 2) - we are told only 7am is available for our breakfast. A bit early for us with our 2 and 6 year old. We did it anyway, and the breakfast was great. It seems this is social distancing related as the restaurant was sparsely populated. Second, the car parking was full on arrival. We were able to use the car park for unloading which was very welcome.

Stayed at Francis Hotel for 1 night for a short romantic break. Hotel is in historical centre with easy access to all the city sights. Parking available on first come basis behind the hotel. Staff were very courteous and polite and the hotel was COVID secure. There was initially a problem with our booking however the hotel sorted this out promptly an we stayed in a lovely room overlooking the park and enjoyed a wonderful weekend away - which is not so easy these days!

From the warmest of welcomes (pouring with rain), to being greeted by name, it was a joy to return. Paige on the front desk is always polite and helpful. Afternoon tea well worthwhile, dinner in the refurbished restaurant, excellent. Made a new friend in Leanne in the restaurant, and Jack behind the bar. We always enjoy our stays, from the staff, to the service, to the room to the food. Breakfast, as always, consisted of a request for an off menu item, no problem. In the afternoon, fancy an off menu cocktail, no problem. Big comfortable bed, good size TV and at our request we even had a coffee machine in our room. I am already looking at booking our wedding anniversary there in a few weeks time. Well done and keep up the good work.
