DO NOT STAY! I seen a fat rat running about in the lobby, I complained to the staff they just laughed. Like it happens all the time, when we got to the hotel room we investigated further and found rodant droppings! Complained again this time to the management, the bloke is useless, Chris I think his name was, extreamly rude, needless to say we didn't eat the food there and will never stay again! The new bathrooms are nice though.
I stayed last weekend. The receptionist was really welcoming and our room was nice and spacious. It had two double beds and a single one. The bathroom was very modern. The view was of the river. The hotel is so central we walked everywhere and there is parking in a multi-storey right next door to the hotel. We drove to the front of the hotel and the receptionist explained the parking arrangements to us. This hotel was perfect for a weekend break in Bath.
We were fortunate to have a room on the fourth floor, which at the time seemed to be the only one fully refurbished. The room was great, beautifully decorated and fitted out (it looked brand new), spacious and vast and comfortable bed. Bathroom lovely too. The breakfast was also very good (we did not eat here in the evenings). I echo everything said about the location - we would stay were again..
Very friendly lady on Reception, who had proactively offered me an early check-in over the phone on the day. The refurbished room was well furnished. Very large comfortable bed. Only downside was the noise of the air on unit. A great location for the city centre. Would recommend parking in another car park as very expensive for an overnight stay - it’s not owned by hotel but a public one.
We stayed at the Hilton during our family weekend shopping trip in mid December 2019. The hotel is located in a great location, not far from the town centre and with ample parking in the underground car park. The hotel was booked 12 months in advance and we were shocked when we turned up to discover the hotel was under renovation however the staff trying their best to not let it impact on our stay. Upon arrival we were checked in straight away and were apparently lucky to be allocated one of their newly refurbished rooms on the 3rd floor (310). We had booked a family deluxe room with 2 double beds and a bath room. As soon as we walked into the room we were immediately disappointed. Despite booking a room with a bath our room had a double shower, this was raised with the reception but unfortunately the hotel was fully booked. This however was not the only issue on the night! There were so many issues (which were raised at the time) it ruined out trip away, a trip that we had been looking forward to for 12 months. The "newly" refurbished room was to such a poor standard id be embarrassed, so many corners have been cut and we got the feeling that the room had been slopped together just to cover the busy period. This is not something a paying customer should expect from any hotel, let along the Hilton. There is no bar, they have made a make shift bar near the restaurant however the drinks are limited and at a premium. The issues raised with the hotel are as follow; 1) No Bath 2) No digital card - this was despite requesting one several times. 3) Dirty dust room which smelt of paint 4) Poorly decorated room with botched paintwork 5) Graffiti on the wall near the bedroom door 6) No shelves for placing clothes or items on, there was a clothes rail which had been screwed to the wall but no wardrobe. Items had to be placed on the floor! 7) Dust and dirt on the bed headboard, this is unhygienic. 8) Plaster missing around the air conditioning display, the display was also very dirty/dusty. 9) Stickers still stuck on the toilet. 10) Dust and paint on the bathroom mirror, not only was this unhygienic but also unprofessional. 11) No bottled water, bath robes or slippers despite it being advertised with the room 12) Dirty coffee and drinking cups. 13) Marks on the bed sheets 14) Paint missing on the ceiling 15) Paint missing on the bathroom door 16) Dirty towels 17) Safe insecure on the floor 18) Dirty skirting boards with dust and plaster. All issues have been raised with the hotel direct, they were emailed immediately however after 2 weeks I am still waiting for a response.…
