My partner and I stayed for 2 nights for leisure and business. The hotel it’s self is beautiful, with a grand entrance and incredible architectural work inside. The views to the garden; overlooking bath was stunning day and night. Easy walk to the town centre and plenty of activities to choose from. The service received was outstanding. A particular mention to Megan, throughout our stay Megan was on hand with all our requests. She was polite, courteous and cheerful. Thank you to all at Macdonald Bath Spa Hotel, hopefully see you all in the summer!

The Bath Spa Hotel team provided wonderful wedding hospitality on New Year's Eve. Unbelievably delicious meal delivered under John's leadership in the kitchen and Roman's tireless management. George and his bar team sorted every beverage request. Howard and Carlotta were super efficient reception hosts. Concierge Tom supported the "get out" of decorations discretely. Every member of staff was focused on making it a perfect day for every guest! Thank you so much!

We booked the hotel as we had cancelled a trip to Budapest because of covid restrictions. Upon arrival we took advantage of the valet parking which was welcome. Checking in was quick and efficient and the room was nice with a view of the garden. The spa is lovely but needs a policy of not reserving beds with towels. Our overall view of the hotel is that along with other hospitality businesses it is very short staffed. All of the staff we encountered went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as they possibly could despite sometimes being run off of their feet. There were a few issues as a result but two staff that deserve a special mention are Howard on reception and George in the bar. Both went out of their way to engage with us at every opportunity and ensure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We would return to the hotel but probably in the summer months. The gardens are beautiful and enjoyable to stroll through en route into town. It is 20 minute easy walk into the centre of Bath.

Great service. Delicious food. Horrifically expensive drinks (£93 for two bottles of wine) no better than a standard £8 a bottle from sainsburys. For a 5 star hotel the rooms weren’t nice. Falling to bits, mould, and rotting door frame. Photos attached. The room hadn’t been serviced very well either. Missing coffee pots, milk, shower hats, and no slippers

We stayed here for 4 nights. Beautiful building with beautiful gardens and polite and helpful staff, especially on reception. Spa facilities were ok but definitely need updating and as they allow non residents in its too busy on Saturday / Sunday, we didn’t feel with covid that it was safe to use these areas on the weekend which was a downer. One big let down of our trip was the food, extremely over priced and not great quality. A la carte food was absolutely not a la carte and the bar menu was disappointing quality for the price. Ordered a beef burger advertised as Wagyu beef but told they cannot cook it medium due to the meat being from different farms which was a big red flag. £170 for three burgers and three drinks… and the burgers were very very average, nothing special at all. I would definitely visit again but would make provisions to eat elsewhere. If this was advertised as a four star venue I would have been blown away but five stars if pushing it. As I said staff were pleasant and friendly but I think more training is needed to bring the service standards up to match the steep prices.
