Made 13 phone calls to the hotel to make a reservation over 5 hour period. 6 options on the menu. No answer from 4 of them and voice boxes full. They call this service? Embarrassed to think of an international traveler calling this hotel. What a shambles!

Stayed here with my girlfriend last week for her birthday, we had one night here and one at Bailbrook house. This really is a lovely hotel but not a five star one, I cannot fault the staff. However a hotel famous for also being a spa should have working spa facilities. The steam room was broken so there was no...

My friend and I were fortunate enough to spend 3 nights over the New Year period at this beautiful hotel. The pool and spa facilities were excellent and provided hours of relaxation. Beautiful grounds and dining areas, cosy and comfortable lounge off the main reception area. Friendly staff especially Jeremy on the Concierge desk. Within easy walking distance of Bath...

Stayed last weekend. Made the mistake of booking direct with the hotel and paid £285 for B&B. On booking.com same room was £177. Absolutely disgusted by the price difference. OK they give you a £10 voucher for booking direct but still a rip off. Our room, a classic twin, was nice. 5 star it was not. Bedside table had no...

Great hotel in fabulous location close to Bath centre. Within a short 10 minute walk. Fabulous spa and thermal pool area. We were put in a garden room. The lighting was dull and we couldn't open the window. The hot water tap had to be turned to full for a very long time before warm water came through - both...

We stayed for two nights in January on a winter break offer having dinner, bed and breakfast. The accommodation and food were excellent and the service was very attentive and courteous. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds and is opposite the lovely Sydney Gardens and is within walking distance of central Bath. An excellent place to stay.

The setting and building was impressive. More thorough checks need to be made by management. Our first room was shabby dusty and in need of new carpets and furniture. We were quickly moved to a much nicer room. Shame about the first night. The restaurant meals were very over priced and our meal was sent back as fish was off...

We stayed for 3 nights, just after New Year, the main dinning room was very cold, and there were guests eating with their coats on ! Room was cold also, and there was a lacking of service especially when in the sitting room waiting to order a drink, ended up finding a waiter ourselves. Plus points the food was very...

We stayed here for a couple of nights from New Years Day and it was a fantastic experience. The staff are helpful, welcoming and very friendly. The service was superb. The facilities are great too. There is a thermal outdoor pool, indoor pool and several different steam rooms and saunas. There is everything you need for a relaxing break. The...
