We stayed three nights celebrating Ruby Wedding Anniversary. It was clear that many staff are still on furlough or unable to get back to work from elsewhere in Europe! Biggest disappointment was inability to get a slot in the Spa until three days after our departure! That was a severe disappointment and something that your website should make clear. Lesson learned book spa before arrival date! We had a superb celebration luncheon served on 2 August. Dining Room Staff and Chef all played a blinder, service and cuisine for this meal was outstanding. Teething troubles post lockdown hopefully.

Please take this on board! Pillow sheets was dirty the gown looked like it had blood on it. 1st day we had breakfast was excellent, 2and day it was so so bad, I wouldn't even give it to my dog. Not worth the money for this place! The air conditioning in the room was very poor! We waited 50mins for breakfast to be served, one lady came with the wrong breakfast . I had looked over and couldn't believe how unhappy other guest was! I missed out using the pool as the reception either didn't pass on my number or the spa didnt bother to call me back ! The bathroom needs attention, cracked sink, cob webs, repair work to ceiling just unacceptable! I will say the outside and other facilities look amazing. I will say the reception and staff have been on point. I will not recommend this to anyone as it's just been a let down. I've seen better conditions in the travel lodge than this

This is a lovely hotel - the grounds are fantastic, the rooms lovely and the staff great. However, on reflection we visited too early after re-opening to enjoy a hotel of this standing. For obvious reasons most of the hotel facilities were not open but given the prices charged, guests are still paying for facilities they cannot use. We had a serious problem with the lack of air conditioning. We reported this and were advised it was being fixed the following day and in fairness it was. However it went off at 1800 hrs and only came back on at 1000 hrs the following day. This happened for following 2 days so presumably it was on a timer or manually turned off. In any event it meant the room was very stuffy for all three nights of our stay which did not aid a good night's sleep. We mentioned this on check out so perhaps things have improved. Overall not as nice a stay as we expected having stayed at other MacDonalds in past. It is worth noting that like many companies, MacDonalds and not passing on any of the 15% reduction in VAT to their guests.

Thank you Ian for your feedback Which we appreciate. I am so sorry your stay was spoiled by our air conditioning issue. We had engineers out for 3 days trying to get to the bottom of the problem, which I am pleased to say is now resolved. It has taken us some time to get all of our facilities open as we wanted to achieve the Safe To Trade accreditation beforehand as the wellbeing and health of our guests and staff has been paramount at this time. I am pleased to say, we have achieved this award and our facilities are now open.

Thank you for your feedback. We are working very hard to operate in line with Government guidelines. This does mean a reduced service in some areas. We have been offering a packed up room service breakfast. I am sorry if this was not to your liking. Our car parking charges are clearly displayed on our website and on our confirmation emails and we consider the charge very reasonable for Bath city centre. I am sorry that our night auditor was not able to advise on wines, he has not had training in this area. Our restaurant staff are more than happy to advise on this.

Even though the Spa was closed we had a wonderful visit. Service was excellent, the grounds are beautiful. It felt very special. We just had a standard room but it was better than other standard rooms we have had in the past.
