Lovely room on 2nd floor with super king size bed. Very comfortable indeed. Lovely breakfast too. I particularly enjoyed the locally sourced sausage. Complimentary early evening prosecco went down a treat too.

Can't praise this hotel enough. Stayed in the Athol four poster room. All our needs were catered for especially the special requests I asked for as we were celebrating my wifes birthday. Staff excellent as were the breakfasts.

We had reviewed this hotel on trip adviser and as a result our expectations were already high. When we arrived it was even better than we expected. The staff are just great, very friendly, polite and helpful. We stayed in the Athol room which was beautiful and spacious, we were simply blown away by it. We were invited for a... More

This is the third time my wife and I have stayed here as we always have a great stay. The location, tall ceilings and decor transport you back to the grandeurs of Georgian Bath and each room we have stayed in has had its own individual touches (this time we were in the Marlborough Suite). The staff are very welcoming... More

My wife and I just got back from a 2 night stay and we'd easily say we are very happy. A more traditional hotel with a grand old feel. The location is ideal as its easy from the M4 and with the parking permit provided by the hotel, you don't need to worry about the car. Pulteney bridge, the abbey,... More

Our second visit here in just over a year as a birthday treat. Exactly the same as my original review (April '15). It is set in a lovely period building, about 10m walk from the main Bath attractions and Pulteney Bridge, along a fairly quiet period road. A parking permit is provided by the hotel which covers the local streets.... More

My husband an I have just returned home having spend 3 nights at Duke's Hotel. I just want to thank all the staff from reception to waiting staff for their outstanding attention to detail, service, hospitality and genuine helpfulness. Nothing was too much to ask, helpful advice was given regarding places to visit and eat. A wonderful stay-cation in Bath,... More

I am so pleased I chose Dukes to stay for two nights. A warm welcome awaits you into this beautiful house. The rooms are tastefully decorated with sumptous beds and white linens. Breakfast is excellent with warm Mandeline as an extra treat. This is a gem of a find and cannot be missed.

Organised a reunion for 30 people at Dukes last weekend - the hotel could not have worked out better. Amie, Carol and the team were fantastic - everyone felt that they had found a second home. Rooms were superb, breakfast excellent and nothing was too much in terms of service and special touches. In addition they were a pleasure to... More

In short: I didn't want to leave. I wanted a place that offered a spot of luxury and proper Bath charm and this hotel delivered 100%. Our room was traditional decor but very stylish with it, thanks to beautiful furniture and decorations. Everything was clean as a whistle and fresh. Bed super comfy and despite being a front-facing room we... More

Delighted that we were able to deliver a ‘spot of luxury and proper Bath charm’. As a small independently operated property we enjoy sharing the pleasures and delights of Bath with each of our guests. Our location on Great Pulteney Street – arguably the finest Georgian boulevard in Europe is a delight to behold. A level 5 minute stroll into... More
