When we booked this hotel we went totally on the 5 star ratings from tripadvisor. Wow ! It is truely worth all 5 stars. The staff are very caring and friendly. They gave great advice on where to go around Bath to the smallest of gestures of a complementary glass of port on arriving back to the hotel after an...

From the moment we stepped into Dukes, we were cared for and welcomed, in a non intrusive way. There were a million kind and generous things, like a temp. parking permit, fresh Madlines for breakfast, a friendly 'goodnight', a small morning chat at the breakfast tabel, a few chocolates in a bag for our journey homewards. The building is an...

This was my third time, in as many years, for staying at Dukes Hotel. Each time I have had a different room, each time I have been utterly thrilled with the room, the service received from both reception and breakfast and each time made a mental note to ensure I return. This time we made the decision to go up...

Thank you. We have very few guests who are able to ‘order breakfast’, ‘go out for an extensive run’ and still be back and seated before the kitchen ‘closing time’…….well done you!! Thank you for the applause and appreciation and we look forward to seeing you both for a ‘fourth visit’. Many thanks.

This is a centrally situated hotel, just a few minutes walk away from the Abbey, Pump Rooms, Roman Baths and the shops. The staff are an ideal combination of friendliness and competence, and there is a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the hotel. Our room was spacious and extremely comfortable, and the timing of placing the chilled champagne (a birthday surprise!)...

If you are visiting Bath because you love its beautiful architecture then you must stay at Dukes. You will find yourself looking out onto one of the most glorious streets in Europe and have the pleasure of time spent in this beautiful Georgian building. We loved our huge suite (Wellington) and appreciated its sympathetic English interior design. The attention to...

The Wellington suite does enjoy a wonderful vista. 100 feet wide and 1,000 feet long, Great Pulteney Street is widely respected as defining the finest Georgian boulevard within Europe. I am pleased you appreciated the ‘glass bottled water’ we feel that they are little more pleasing than the functionality of plastic. Over the years we have support numerous offerings of...

Just returned from our two night stay at the Dukes Hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This is the second time we have stayed and were not disappointed. The first time was in August 2012 just after the hotel had been refurbished by the previous owners. The hotel is in an excellent location just a 10 min walk to the...

Thank you for the ‘definitely recommend’ appellation. As you note our location, a mere 5-minute level stroll into the heart of Bath is ideal. I am pleased that you found our breakfast ‘superb’ and that we were able to go and source your wife ‘pineapple juice’ as an alternative to the cold drinks we normally have available at breakfast. As...

Dukes Hotel is a fantastic place to stay if you want to stay in a central location and would like a friendly and warm welcome. We stayed here over the recent Valentine's Day and was really surprised to wake up to balloons and flowers in the breakfast room, along with a little bag of heart chocolates and a Bucks Fizz....

We stayed for my husbands birthday at the end of January. We travelled by train - in case of bad winter weather, and we walked to the hotel from the station. 15-20 minutes and easy, and were welcomed by name!
