Exceptional service and level of comfort and lived up to all expectations. Staff were all amazing, the peace and quiet of our ground floor suite was just perfect. Lorraine and her team run and amazing hotel, Will be back without doubt
A perfect experience from the moment we pulled up in the car to the moment we left the hotel. We appreciated lovely food, excellent wine and superb service. With the wonderful staff and room we most certainly will return and stay longer.
We had a fantastic weekend at the RCH, perfect place for couples and friends enjoying a catch-up. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, the spa is the best I have experienced and the afternoon tea to die for.
I had a wonderful stay here and felt as if I was back in my own home. The staff were exceptional at catering to my needs whilst being quick and efficient. The spa facilities were just perfect at making me feel relaxed and ready for the day. Special thanks to the spa staff for being simply superb. I’m already planning my next stay!
I never actually got to the spa. I was due to visit this summer. I booked in a sizeable group WELL in advance, as it’s a special occasion and wanted to be sure we wouldn’t be left disappointed… If only I knew how disappointed I’d be! Got a call informing me they no longer could do my booking due to “planned operational issues” - really? On a Saturday, in the summer season, when there was a large group booked in for that day? Makes no business sense. They TOLD me my booking was moved, no consulting. When I said I couldn’t do the next day, I booked the Saturday specifically, I was told there’s nothing they could do. Here’s the kicker. This colleague told me the booking was moved DUE TO A PRIVATE HIRE. So, NOT planned operational works… So, despite booking well in advance, and handing over full payment for all of the group, they decided to prioritise a private hire that booked in afterwards. What elitist, greedy and unprofessional behaviour. I detest spas that clearly offer differential treatment based on how much the individuals are spending. So, perhaps this was a lucky escape. Everyone I spoke to, including management, was abrasive and aggressive - despite the fact that I was the wronged customer. As someone who has also worked in customer service, I make a point to stay calm and reasonable when needing to complain. So, their tone was not justified. That’s also due to me chasing the matter. To start with I was told the manager wasn’t in and would call me back first thing the next day… of course they didn’t and I had to pursue the matter myself. My advice: book elsewhere to avoid disappointment. They can’t be trusted to honour bookings, so take your custom to another spa. They will (probably) be more friendly and conduct business with the expected integrity of a high-end establishment. For shame Royal Crescent. …
The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa is a fantastic experience from the moment you drive onto the Crescent to the time you get in your car to leave. I would highly recommend a stay at this fabulous hoteland a visit to The Spa is a must!
We stayed for our anniversary and there were many things which were disappointing. We had booked the last sitting for breakfast (and were by no means late) but members of staff were clearing away the breakfast bar, items were running low and members of staff were spraying tables around us to clear away the tables whilst we were eating. The tv in our room wasn't working and when we called down to the reception, we were told no-one could fix it until the day. We had hoped to have a relaxing evening with the tv and we should have been allocated a different room. There was drilling in the morning from the works that were happening, even though I emailed before making the reservation to check that our room would be far away enough from the sound. The doors kept slamming at night as rooms next to us were ordering room service and we couldn't sleep as members of staff were walking up and down the corridor all night. There should be better soundproofing. The spa was very crowded and there are only 4 beds to lie on.…
We didn't stay here and turned up to ask about use of the spa for none residents. We were able to book for the next day £45 per person for an hour. Lovely up market hotel but welcoming to us. Spa very classy and lovely - not too big but well decorated and good facilities. Very clean, calm and provided with gown towels and flip flops. We didn't like the reviews of the public spa in both so didn't risk it - we went here instead Would really recommend it.
The Royal Crescent is a beautiful hotel that lies in between a row of typical Georgian buildings. The rooms are spacious and decorated beautifully. The hotel is warm and feels like home. Now, onto the spa... The spa is spacious, and calming, and has everything that you would expect from a 5-star hotel. Overall, the facilities felt modern. However, I must say that the gym was quite poor. It lacked equipment and was set up in quite a small area. The Spa staff were not the most welcoming or helpful. They seemed distant and the person at reception was consumed in their work and didn't bother looking up when we spoke to her. The concierge staff members were wonderfully helpful and genuine. The waiting staff was also excellent. The location is great. You can walk everywhere - to the baths, restaurants, shopping areas, etc. Overall, the Royal Crescent is a great hotel and I would highly recommend it to people staying in Bath. The Royal Crescent feels like home!…
The receptionist was very short with us and over a sizing issue she had with robes called her colleague a "rat boy". Will not be returning as it felt uncomfortable. We arrived 10 minutes early and said we would like a drink so were asked to sit in the dining room. Another member of staff then came over saying we could not sit there as it was reserved for hotel guests so poor staff communication.
