This is my favourite local eating place. The Staff are friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble, The food is just great The cocktails are well made nice wine choices and Donna and Dave run an exemplary service. The food is decently priced and everything is home made, you can tell, its fresh, its tasty and its just all... More

This hotel would appear to be closed - local information says it is in receivership. Sad because it was a nice and very handy venue for town without being too noisy and too close to the pubs and clubs just across the river. It is to be hoped that a new owner or business concern can get it going .

Awful service received by the managers who were grumpy and rude, and the staff looked like they didn't care. Stayed two nights but decided to eat out elsewhere as food quality was really poor and the meat/steak tasted old and was really fatty. Got back from shopping trip in town centre to find hotel was shut and manger said we... More

Hi Shropshire78 – Many thanks for taking the time to leave your review. Just a couple of things I need to pick you up on including the fact that the review is wholly inaccurate and untrue. As we both know you didn’t stay or eat at the silverton and are leaving this review for whatever misjudged reason or purpose that... More

This small hotel in Shrewsbury has well appointed rooms with nice decor and although on the small side are comfortable and have everything you will need. The restaurant seems very popular with locals and the food is fantastic. All in all a very pleasant place to stay near the center of Shrewsbury

Visited Shrewsbury this week and had two nights at the Silverton. It is well positioned just over the Welsh bridge and an easy walk into town. We stayed in the Longmynd room Its very spacious and on the front of the hotel. It has a large ensuite with a great shower The road noise didn't disturb us..after so much walking... More

Had a lovely stay at the Silverton.Large bedroom and bathroom and spotlessly clean. Plenty of choice at breakfast and all well presented. Had afternoon tea before we left with choice of sandwiches cake and freshly baked scones with lashings of jam and cream 😋. Staff were attentive and helpful. Would stay again if in area

We spent two delightful nights at The Silverton and would definitely return. Live music in the bar, delicious food cooked to perfection, friendly young attentive staff and a brilliant location. A little road noise but the standard of the room more than compensated. Thank you Silverton!

really nice little hotel to stay in. room was lovely, with a comfy bed, plenty of space and its own air con. also a fridge in room with fresh milk. Slightly noisy overlooking the Franklin, I imagine rooms to rear would be a bit quieter. 2 minute walk over a bridge into the town. parking at hotel. Ate in restaurant,... More

We recently stayed at the Silverton for a family wedding great stay , friendly staff , great bfast the only thing I would say is we stayed in the front room and was alittle noisy at night and they could do with having heavier curtains as sun comes in early but other than that would totally recommend this hotel if... We went to meet up with a friend who lives in Shrewsbury as we ourselves do many years ago and we were amused to find that our hotel was what had formerly been the dairy that delivered our milk back in the day. The conversion has been carried out very successfully, creating a clean, light modern space in what must... More
