We had the pleasure of staying here for one night on the 25/07/2016. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the loft room and the room was fantastic. It was full of character and was very comfortable. The breakfast the next day is also very nice and dont miss out on the sausages they are amazing! We... More

We spent a lovely evening dining in the the restaurant. The food was exceptional, very tasty and different from many of the places we have dined. A varied, well planned menu with much of the food locally sourced. The decor was lovely and the same goes for the hotel in general and our room. We very kindly received an upgrade... More

This property right from the moment you enter is warm and the reception staff, Hanna and Jeremy were professional and welcoming. The rooms were comfortable and nicely appointed, inclusive of finishing touches such as the cookies in the room. The lounge staff and dining staff were professional both at dinner and the very value oriented breakfast. The garden area and... More

Firstly, the good points - the hotel has obviously been recently refurnished and is very modern - good taste. The breakfast food - when it eventually came - was of top quality. However....our Room was ultra-hot. Admittedly we were there for the hottest night of the year BUT the windows only opened four inches AND they had been left closed... More

Whilst visiting family my hubby and I spent a night here in a cosy double, as did our daughter & her boyfriend. Then later in the same month I stayed in a snug double and my daughter & boyfriend stayed in a cosy again. On both occasions the night's sleep was awesome with the online pre-booked anti-allergenic pillows and magic... More

I stayed at the Lion and Pheasant with my wife on Saturday 16th July. I booked at relatively short notice and could only get a 'Comfy' double room (Room 20). We were both very impressed with our stay. The hotel is a great mix of old and new, retaining oodles of character (beams, uneven floors, etc) while being decorated in... More

Its a lovely old building with parking right in the centre. Very smart and a lovely atmosphere. Food in the restaurant was very good if a little pricey. Only thing that was a little irritating was that when we advised we would be checking out before the 8am breakfast time - at 7.30 we weren't offered any packed breakfast which... More

Stayed for just one night in July. I was upgraded to a double room. Very comfortable and well equipped (even with an iron and iron board). Not hugely spacious by some standards (e.g. visiting Americans might find it a bit snug), but fine by me. The room and public areas are all decorated to a high standard and are bright... More

This was a very nice hotel where we had a very excellent dinner. The hotel had such a narrow driveway that we were told to pull into the parking area across the street, turn around, and approach it from the other angle. We actually tried to book a room for the next night so we could have another excellent dinner,... More
