Warm welcoming staff, great rooms with all the amenities you would expect. Bathrooms are new and beautiful. The "living rooms" on the ground floor beautiful warm and inviting. The fully stocked honor bar was an excellent option just to sit and relax and have a beverage. Carrie and Hanna the who manage the reception make you feel like family. The...

My partner and I stayed here in the 10th Dec. We were very pleasantly surprised as to what a beautiful hotel it came across as. Only to be disappointed when shown our room at 3pm. It was like a fridge. The lady tried to switch the wall hater on, but to no avail. She put a small electric radiator on...

Stayed at Darwin's Townhouse for a two nights to attend the Shrewsbury Christmas Festival and although the hotel had several problems the friendly atmosphere still allowed us to have an enjoyable stay and allowing for their response to this review I would gladly stay again. On the plus side our "king size" room was clean and comfortable with very well...

We go to Shrewsbury on a regular basis and have stayed in a variety of places. I haven't got a bad word to say about the other places we have stayed in but this place is hard to beat. Nice quiet location within walking distance to all the sights with lovely rooms and nice staff. We are back in Shrewsbury...

The main house is lovely although no heating so the lounge areas could have been more welcoming. Honesty bar is a nice touch and the staff were excellent. Unfortunately didn't realise we would be staying in the annexe and this let it down. They shouldn't be described as garden rooms, more like a motel. Very small frosted window so could...

Was seriously considering cancelling after reading some TripAdvisor reviews but so glad we didn't. Beautiful room with everything we needed, spotlessly clean, lovely welcoming staff and a gorgeous breakfast. Would happily stay again.

Absolutely fantastic find. From check in to check out and beyond can say nothing negative about this place. Lady who checked us in showed us all around. . Breakfast was so great. When we checked out we asked if we could leave bags, no problems. When we collected them later, had a lovely chat with lady who ran breakfast service....

From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were made to feel so welcome! being a large group of friends the staff were so accommodating and couldn't do enough to make our stay a perfect one. The hotel house was decorated so wonderfully! and the added touches of Christmas decorations made our stay so much more cosy. So clean...

Friendly and helpful staff on the phone. I thought the decor of the main house was quite luxurious. the breakfast was lovely and well presented but the service was slow. The only disappointment were the rooms across the patio/garden, having booked 3 rooms found them all to be very small, a bit claustrophobic, it was a tight squeeze walking around,...

We stayed the 26th October for our wedding anniversary. We stayed in what we believe w a s the biggest room in the hotel. We overlooked the garden and it was lovely and quiet. We arrived a little earlier than we had stated but that was no problem and the staff were very friendly and made us very welcome. Room...
