A very smart hotel in an excellent location about half a mile from Ludlow. Outstanding food of a Michelin quality if thats your thing. Very pleasant staff providing attentive service and we love the modern indoor pool. We found the hotel spotless. Having stayed before wouldnt hesitate to stay again.

While the hotel was absolutely spotless, I would not stay here again. The hotel was empty of both staff and guests on a Saturday night which is always a worrying sign. We came downstairs to try order a taxi, rang the desk bell 3 times and no one came even though 2 girls in the kitchen saw us and continued...

We stayed about 15 years ago and had always remembered how good the food was, it may even have had a Michelin star at that point. We made a snap decision to go to Ludlow and Shrewsbury for a one night break and booked to see if the hotel was still as good, a bit of nostalgia! Same as we...

Probably the best spread of food that I have had on Valentines Day. The atmosphere, ambience, hospitality, food and decor was exception. This is a place that I would highly recommend to anyone either on Valentines Day or not ;)

Spent 3 nights here for Christmas arriving 24th leaving 27th December. Lovely country house style hotel. comfortable furniture, roaring log fires made for an excellent atmosphere. Food was outstanding as was the friendly service, not cheap but worth the money. The room was fine but the over bath shower was not very powerful and very difficult to adjust, freezing or...

Food here is outstanding with a very talented chef. Quality not quantity is the approach and you need savour each mouthful to appreciate the subtle tastes and flavours.Service is kind and friendly and rooms are well appointed. There appears to be a small problem with hot water for baths as on one day the bath ran cold and the following day...

We stayed for a long weekend to celebrate our parent's life - so us siblings and partners chose Ludlow and Overton Grange as our base. One has to remember this is a small family country hotel and one wouldn't expect 24 hour cover on reception, bar etc. On arrival we rang the bell and within seconds someone arrived, we signed...

I booked two rooms several months in advance in order to attend a family event. I booked direct with the hotel. I did not use an intermediary site. I gave my credit card details willingly in order to confirm my reservation. I'm a frequent traveller and this is standard procedure. What isn't, however, standard procedure in any hotel I have...

Room adequate but £148/night for bed/breakfast seems overpriced. Shower head defective, bathroom (toilet) not clean. Tea/Coffee but no biscuits and only packet milk, no fridge. Double glazed windows blown - some windows locked shut. We ate in the restaurant on the first night (tempted by the "Michelin starred chef") and it was disappointing. Duck starter nothing special and main course...

Thank you for your review. The Hotel is a privately owned Country House Hotel which offers the comfort of a 3* Hotel and facilities, and is rated by the relevant Tourism Associations and Guides, mainly the AA. The Restaurant is listed in the Michelin Guide but we do not claim any "Star Chef Status". Our Cuisine is homely, using fresh...
