Tucked down a country lane yet only a few minutes from the centre of Sheffield this is a great spot in the North! A fabulous building that has been kept true to the original in many ways - so there's an old manor house feel to the entire place. Great, welcoming staff and the rooms are a good size, clean,...

Six years ago we got married at Whitley and have stayed on several occasions since including a number of wedding anniversaries. A number of months ago we booked for this February for our anniversary. Around 2 weeks before the date we received an email informing us that due to a wedding event the following day that breakfast would finish early...

Myself and my husband got married here last year and it was fantastic, so we decided to book in for Sunday lunch today. We were offered drinks whilst waiting for our table and we were only waiting fifteen minutes before being taken through to our table. For starters we both had the large Yorkshire pudding with onion gravy. The gravy...

We stayed Saturday night (11th Feb) in a deluxe double room in the Parker wing and we had dinner in the restaurant. The whole experience was superb from start to finish and we could not find fault. The staff are very professional and efficient. We cannot wait to return.

Should really be three and a half stars as the place is good but could be much better if details were attended to. I may be picky but if a hotel has 2 rosettes and 4 stars it should give that experience throughout this was hit and miss. We found the staff to be excellent in all depts polite and...

The drive up to the Hotel and first impressions externally were good and it certainly didn't disappoint once I was inside. The hotel has a very homely feeling. The staff were very polite, friendly and couldn't do enough. The food was gorgeous and my room was beautiful and decorated very tastefully. The grounds outside were kept to a very high...

Visited early Feb for a birthday treat. Was given room 16 which is DIVINE (4 poster & jacuzzi), and had complimentary fizz ready in the room - lovely touch. Staff are all extremely polite and helpful, the rooms were exceptionally clean and I would return in a heartbeat and recommend to anyone. Particularly room 16 the 'peacock room'. The only...

Arrived late but to a warm welcome and a 'no problem' to our request to delay our dinner reservation. Up lovely creaky stairs and corridors to find a delightfully cosy room awaiting us. A little worried that the original draughty windows might be a problem, but lovely thick blinds sorted that out. The bathroom a little dated but everything worked...
