Never disappointed when having sunday lunch here, silver service in a nice atmosphere. Welcomed on arriving and given menu to choose from and order taken before being taken to table when ready. Food is always extremely good with nice sized portions and bread served on the side which is a rarity these days. Choice of 1,2 or 3 courses for...

We ate here this week, while visiting our son at Uni. What a fab Sunday lunch! We all went for the roast beef and were not disappointed. Generous slices of tender beef, with mashed and roast potatoes, plenty of veg, a giant crispy Yorkshire and lovely gravy. All served by very pleasant staff. Highly recommended restaurant in interesting surroundings.

Room dated but clean. Breakfast was a shocker . Tinned tomatoes and one 8 pence sausage , one soggy rasher of bacon . So bad it made me laugh. Would stay again but obviously wouldn't book the breakfast . Morrison is 2 mins away so will get fed there .

This place is great value, and you get super accommodation for the price. Room is clean and warm, ok yes a little dated but that adds to the charm. The real prize here is the bar, staff and food. Bar staff are great and food was fantastic. Lovely cosy bar. Breakfast was good, nice selection and again polite lady serving....

This is a nice, friendly hotel, with good food, comfy rooms and helpful staff. What really lets it down is the WIFI! Absolutely terrible. When it worked at all (about ⅓ of the time) it was so slow as to be unusable. The rest of the time it just froze my devices up. For someone who has to do a...

Hi, we appreciate your feedback regarding the food and your room here. We are more frustrated than you are as we are waiting for our service provider to correct the problems they have dropped on to us upon changeover. We are installing a superfast fibre line next week ourselves to combat the poor service we have received from the new...

The exterior of this hotel reminded me of an american motel. Not very accessible to disabled users. Rooms are clean and relatively comfortable however, reminded me of my grandmothers bedroom in the 50's. Bathroom was clean but falling to bits. Taps falling off, radiator leaking etc... We arrived for breakfast at 9am and I can only describe the experience as...

After having our wedding reception here a year ago we decided to have an anniversary Sunday lunch to celebrate the occasion. It wasn't busy when we first arrived and we were quickly waited on with details of Chef's specials etc.. There is plenty of choice on the menu for all courses and once we'd ordered we were shown to a...
