I would like to start by saying I may have been at fault by making general assumptions as this place calls itself a hotel. It is not a hotel and is in fact a guest house, even though it is self titled a hotel. I was informed that because the property had that name when the current owners bought it... More

This is a beautifully decorated and furnished small hotel. The breakfast was wonderful and plenty of choice available. Our room was very nicely decorated although the bed was a little wobbly! It is a great shame that the attitude of the landlady was so unhelpful and unfriendly. She was insistent that the prices on their website were up to date... More

Friends stayed here for 2 nights and were amazed at the signs and the attitude. Having booked breakfast at a time they were told it had to be earlier as the owners wanted to go out for the day! Breakfast was fine, but the owners were just not friendly or welcoming.

Conveniently placed for the Hallamshire Hospital (which was the reason for our visit) this small privately run hotel fitted our needs perfectly. I say hotel but it's really more of a B & B as there is no bar or restaurant, they only serve breakfast but i have to say it's one of the best cooked breakfasts that I’ve ever... More

I stayed here for one night before an interview at the univeristy. The location is great as it is just around the corner from the campus and a short bus ride away from the centre of town. We arrived at about 7pm on the Friday night and were greeted by the owner. We had booked a triple ensuite room. Good... More

We arrived following a stay at a rather special hotel only to be greeted by a pleather of signs stuck to doors and walls telling you what not to do. Our travelling companion ( who is nearing his 80th birthday ) was placed in the attic room up two flights of rather tricky stairs and was lefty to carry his... More

My husband and I stayed for one night and would not stay again! The bedroom was cramped, the bathroom door had a large split in the wood panel, the shower door did not fully open as the washbasin was too close to the cubicle and the dust on the panel door folded up as my finger moved across the lip... This was a pleasant property in a good location but very restrictive in that you have to say exactly what time you expect to arrive and then decide on your breakfast choice by 9.30pm the night before. Our room was small, the ensuite bathroom door didn't close and there were no curtains or blind at the window. The room and... More

The Hotel is close to the Royal Hallamshire hospital and is also not very far from the city centre. It is a rather nice B&B though certainly not a hotel. There is place for parking for 4 cars (including perhaps the owner's own car), with additional parking for the night nearby outside a solicitor's office. The lady owner rang us... More
