My fiancé and I booked a one off one night in this hotel. The reason for my review today was the outstanding customer service received from the reception manager Leah. She went over and above to required levels of service and really made our night. Thank you.

Booked a night away as a bit of a mental break as a couple. The staff let us check in an hour early which was very appreciated! Check-in was very quick, easy and contactless. We had upgraded to a Deluxe Executive King Room. The bed was obviously huge and very comfortable. You could tell that we had upgraded as there were drinks and little extras in the room. We were given some vouchers for a free free Costa Coffee from the bar which was very nice. The room had an extremely well stocked tea/coffee station anyway. The size of the room, however, wasn't as large as expected and there was no bath which I would have expected when upgrading. Nothing major but could be a big deal for some people. The hotel had adapted brilliantly to the current circumstances - sanitiser by the lifts, reception etc., the room had a "sanitised" hanger on the door upon arrival as well as extra "sanitised" labels attached to things like the toilet, TV remote control etc. which was a nice extra touch. Would absolutely stay again when in Sheffield.

Hotel was better than we expected for the price we paid. Very modern and stylish, great location for city centre and train station. We booked the early bird winter offer and had a family room for the two of us. Beds and pillows were very comfy and we couldn't hear any noise whilst we slept. There were hen parties but we couldn't hear them. It looks like they are building student accommodation adjacent to the hotel so not sure if that would affect noise levels in the future. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

We opted for the executive suite for the extra space but to be honest, it looked very much to me like a standard sized room. The bathroom was particularly disappointing with the door opening in to a space only just big enough to allow us to get in. I shudder to think how larger sized patrons would have coped! We inadvertently left an item of clothing behind and duly enquired about it. To date we have not received a reply to our email, 2 months later. Average indeed.

Catching up with reviews now as I’ve plenty of time due to the Coronavirus lockdown! My wife and I stayed at The Jurys Inn, Sheffield on Saturday 8th February 2020 for 1 night. The hotel’s about a ten-minute walk from Sheffield train station. Check-in was quick and efficient with friendly staff. Our room was a typical Jury’s Inn room with a double bed and a single bed, flat screen TV, hair dryer, air con and tea and coffee facilities. It was very clean. The bathroom, although in need of a little TLC, was clean but very gloomy, I think due to the poor lighting. My only problem with this hotel, and we’ve stayed here twice before this stay, is that we always seem to have a problem with the bathroom. On this occasion, the toilet refused to flush. Maintenance was called and, although he fixed the problem, he told us how to rectify it if it happened again as he was off for the rest of the weekend. It did happen again but fortunately his instructions worked! The last time we stayed, we had a broken toilet seat and again problems with toilet and sink. The sink wouldn’t empty unless the loo was flushed. We also had problems with the aircon but there was no maintenance staff on over the bank holiday weekend! I think the hotel might have a plumbing issue!! I must say though that each time we’ve had a problem the staff have sorted it. Would we stay again? Probably but I’ll check the plumbing before unpacking!!!
