We had a 2-day board meeting in one of the meeting rooms with a view to the river and will certainly use it again for future meetings. The bedrooms/bathrooms are as you’d expect in this class of hotel. Public rooms are light and airy. It’s about 15/20 mins walk to town and 10 minutes to the back entrance to the station. There’s ample safe car parking. Executive lounge is very small and permanently full, it seemed to me - but that’s a common problem with most Crowne Plaza exec lounges. I’ll stay here again.

This hotel is sat by the river and is idilic (if you get the river view), the BP garage not so much :-), the rooms are pleasant, the executive rooms are definitely an appreciated step up. Price wise its a tough one tbh, mid week can be reaching circa £200, I struggle to justify that to myself so look elsewhere when its that much. Stand out aspect is the service though, receptionist Eva seems to have taken "customer service" and made it her own, superb brand ambassador. So good hotel, nicish location, superb staff.

Good hotel room comfy beds and reasonable space however the television is absolutely tiny and you cannot watch many channels and there’s no hope or Netflix or catchup!! We had a view of a roundabout so not quite the river view we were expecting but none the less a comfy night sleep

I was appauled by members of kitchen staff wandering through the main reception area arguing and threatening each other The rooms are okay and food good but over the past 4 years standards in my opinion have dropped

Hotel rooms and public areas are looking very tired. Room was disappointing and not much better than a premier inn. The air conditioning in the room was faulty and a member of staff very kindly came to adjust it in the early hours of the morning but it was still blowing cold air. At breakfast in the club room it obviously hadn’t been replenished for a good while and looked very sparse, the eggs were burnt there were no bowls only a couple of pastries. All in all very disappointing for a Crowne Plaza.
