On arrival at the hotel there were no staff and no intercom, push button that dials a number, no phone just a A4 piece of paper with telephone numbers. Lucky my phone was charged otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get in without a lot of hassle. Rang the 1st number it rang out, 2nd number somebody answered and... More

I stayed in a single, en-suite room. The decor was a bit Grandma's spare room (matching terracotta curtains, bedspread and lampshade, dark wood furniture), and a little worn, but it was clean. It's hardly a boutique hotel, but then, it doesn't pretend to be. My bed was comfortable and I had a good night's sleep, apart from being woken once... More

Well situated but noisy all night, near the station and city centre. but a really tiny room for £65 a night. This place is situated above a cafe. I wouldn't return here. As I was unable to sleep due to the noise.

I guess you get what you pay for. Avoid this place unless you really have no other choice or you are staying only one night. The only good thing about it is the location, right by the train station and around the corner from the very nice Reading city centre. As other reviewers have noted, this isn't a hotel. It... More

Stopped here with partner and was really impressed with the accommodation. Real secure premises. Clean and tidy and right in the centre of Reading. 5 min walk to railway station. Considering proximity of accommodation very quiet room. I also left my reading glasses there and when I rang up the proprieter was very helpful and posted them to me. Would... More

Stayed for one night and would not consider this if staying any longer. The B&B is well located and directly by the train station. Simple to find and seconds away from restaurants and other amenities. The room is small, quiet and functional. However, it was missing a hair drier. The bed was very hard and difficult to sleep in. The... More

If you dont expect any service . this is the place to go. They are pretty cheap , wifi is good. I havent tried food here , but must be ok . Location is very central and close to town. Easiest to get on train to anywhere , London from reading station, which is 2 minutes walk away.

I did not realize I needed to phone someone when I got there late afternoon and the café was shut to get the swipe key .Not a very inviting entrance. Also not good as I HAD TO LUG A HEAVY CASE UP THE STAIRS to my room. As I had to leave by 645 I did not get breakfast. Good... More

There's a question mark in the title only because I haven't stayed at every hotel in the world. So, theoretically, there could be a worse hotel out there, but if there is I haven’t seen it. OK, where to begin? Let’s start with the room itself: It’s tiny. It has disgusting red carpet full of rips and holes and stains... More
