We enjoyed our stay and found everything satisfactory. We were impressed with the extensive gluten free option particularly as the majority of hotels simply do not cater for those with food allergies. With regard to cost, services, accommodation etc and when comparing other hotels we stayed in during our two-week touring holiday (all around £95 to £125 per night), we... More

At first glance this inn may appear to be less than it is: an excellent place to spend several nights. We were here two nights and chose The Duke at the last minute for a weekend stay when everything else was filled. The large room with comfortable bed also has a nice sofa. Windows open to farmland adjacent. Staff were... More

A very pleasant stay! The accommodation was very spacious and welcoming and it was lovely to have a large sofa in the room. Just a couple of small negatives - the bathroom was looking a bit tired with signs of damp around the skirting boards and the complimentary toiletries (a nice touch) would have been more pleasing if they had... A lovely, comfortable Inn to stay at for a weekend away. Bus stops are right outside the door for journeys to Woodstock/Blenheim Palace (4 mins) and Oxford (25 mins) and well worth using as parking spaces in Oxford are few and far between. Would have been nice to stroll in to Woodstock (about 30 mins) and handy to walk back... More

First thing that impressed me was the attitude of the staff after our rather rubbish stay at The Star Inn in Woodstock. They were attentive, helpful and friendly and we spent a lovely couple of hours having drinks in the sun outside whilst our room was being made up. Had a nice meal in the pub before going to see... A clean and spacious room with a very comfortable bed in a modern annex to the traditional Cotswold stone building with bar & restaurant. The staff were warm and friendly throughout. Located for an easy trip for a perfect visit to Blenheim Palace and surrounding Oxfordshire villages.

Overall - very nice staff - warm welcome and very helpful. Excellent breakfast. I would have liked the hairdryer more user friendly! Lovely comfortable sofa - some hotel rooms don't have anywhere to sit except for the bed.

I enjoyed my stay. The room was very comfortable and particularly liked the sofa. Most hotels have unpleasant chairs and it was cosy to sit and read my papers for the following day after dinner. I enjoyed my dinner and it was very good value. I found your two young waitresses very good. Even your Romanian (?) who said her... More

Perfect spot to lay my hat for a concert at Blenheim Palace very nearby. Spacious, traditionally furnished rooms, tea and coffee on tap in the room, warm towels and good bath. Welcome convivial and conversational, breakfast good although would have liked fresh whole fruit not just juice). The location is on a main road but there's a garden to the... More

Great location for visiting Blenheim Palace. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lots of choice for evening meal and breakfast. The fish and chips were really good. We would go back for sure next time we visit Blenheim Palace.
