Contours Walking Holidays picked this B&B for us for our 2 day stay in Oxford. We felt right at home here. The house is charmingly old, with the noisy pipes and thin walls to go with it, the room and bathroom were a bit small, and the window looked on a brick wall, but everything we could want was there:... We had an overnight stay at Heather House on our trek from Thames Head to London. Lisa was very welcoming and provided a pot of tea for us on arrival. Our room was very clean, well appointed and overlooked the garden. Lisa washed and dried some clothes for us which we were really in need of.

We spent 2 nights at the Heather House and our stay was an excellent one! Lisa and Norman were fantastic hosts. Our room was beautiful, very clean and overlooked their back gardens. The breakfast was good and not oversized which made us not overeat. The B & B was a pleasant 20 min walk into the centre of town. We... More

This is a well appointed b+ b very close to Oxford city centre. Lisa and Norman own the hotel and are very welcoming. It is very clean and tidy and our room was cosy on the 1st floor. Our room was ensuite, we had tea and coffee and a hairdryer. We stayed for 2 nights and our room was tidied... More

Found this Bed and Breakfast online as we had a Family Gathering to attend and needed somewhere for two nights near to the City Centre. Easy to book online and liked the website. We were welcomed by the Owners on arrival and shown to our room (room 3). The room was very comfortable (double room with en suite bathroom) and... More

Tidy and warm homely feel 5 minutes drive away from the busy Oxford city centre. Lovely guest family, recently refurbished facilities, hearty full English breakfast and car park. Be sure to check out the famous steak platter at The Chester, walking distance from the house.

Accomodation can be difficult in Oxford, I've stayed in plush hotels and ended up in slums masquerading as a B&B, Heather House is definately my favorite place to stay. Close to the Cowley Road which was my old stomping ground in the 80's it caters for my odd eating habits in the morning without raising an eyebrow. Heather House is... More

We were visiting my nephew in Oxford and chose Heather House because my sister had recommended it and because of the good reviews. We were greeted warmly by Lisa. Our room wasn`t large but had all we needed for an overnight stay and was light, airy and very, very clean. The en suite was spacious with a good sized shower... More

Recently stayed at the Heather House. Norman and Lisa contribute so much to what is already a lovely B and B experience. The room was so charming, the property wonderfully situated (an easy walk to city center or one can hop on a bus; stop just outside front door) and their breakfast (hot, if one likes and cooked to order)... Great place to base for Oxford! Our hosts were enthusiastic and thoughtful, interested in us, and supplied us with a bucket and scrubbing brush to clean our filthy footwear! We asked about a laundromat, but no, they could do that too, which was wonderful as we were then free to get out and see the town. (Sure, it wasn't free,... More
