After reading the reviews I must say I was dubious ...but what a pleasant surprise. my standard double room was spotless. ..looked like the room had been recently painted , the bathroom looked brand new ...sheets...bed all super plus flat screen TV. .. centrally located is an under statement. ..and right opposite Jamie's Italian. Staff polite and helpful Requested a... More

I had to stay in Oxford for one night and it was the only hotel I could book within walking distance from the train station. The hotel is located near the centre with a number of shops, restaurants and places of interest within walking distance making the location very convenient! The hotel is rather small, I guess about 10 rooms... More

Stayed there last night, the reception guy was really friendly, showed me to a small room with ensuite bathroom which had the necessary toiletries. Wifi was fine and pretty fast, the bed was basic sprung with very little cushioning, covers were thin i was cold at night although I didn't look for more blankets. The room was generally clean however... More

If you want to find a cheap and good place to stay in Oxford, this is the place! The recepcionists were very friendly and helpful, that was the "very best". The room was not too big but was clean, tidy and had a very comfortable mattress. Is located in the city center and that helps a lot! In my opinion... More

Awful. The hotel is next to a club with outdoor drinking and which doesn't close until 3-4am. No sleep and the room was grotty. Wouldn't recommend or stay again. The only positive is the location which is in central Oxford but this is not a big enough plus to stay.

This is easily the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I would not recommend anyone book here. We did expect a cheap and cheerful crashpad for a couple of nights. We chose the Victoria only because its close to the centre of Oxford, which isn't blessed with mid-price hotels. Unlike some other reviewers, we didn't find it too... More

What you are paying for here is the location - right in the centre of Oxford. Oxford has very few hotels, and those that there are tend towards the five star: but even those at lower rating are generally over the £120 mark for a double room, and don't necessarily come with an en suite bathroom at that low price.... Absolutely appalling reception staff. Rudeness beyond belief. Very unhelpful about booking the nights I wanted to stay and when I called in advance to make arrangements I spoke to three staff members who all promised to call me back. Surprise surprise. No call. The final man I spoke to was arrogant and had no awareness of customer rights.

This accommodation met all our needs for a two night stop over in the heart of Oxford . Within walking distance to the main shopping strip ,train station and bus terminal to London etc .....across the road from the theatre . We had a small clean room overlooking the back of the hotel . The room suited all our needs... More

Spent one night here. The location is great and the price is reasonable in comparison to the other hotels in the area. The accommodation is very basic. Small rooms with tired decor. Few cigarette burns in soft furnishings. The bed was ample size which I didn't find very comfortable but my partner did. The noise throughout the night was pretty... More
