We booked this hotel because it was the only one in the Oxford area with a family room available at very short notice. It had a fairly good location within a 15 minute walk of the centre of town but it is on a busy road which remained noisy throughout the night. The room (26) was awkward to get in...

Travelled to Oxford over the bank holiday weekend - son was in a tournament there - we booked 2 rooms, 1 single, 1 double, room rate for Oxford was very good and included breakfast. We were pleased it was only for 1 night. First the small positives - good location as near the town, on site parking, nice walk along...

I had come here expecting a 2 star hotel which it advertises itself as and as such I was pleasantly surprised. Reports on Tripadvisor meant I arrived with trepidation, however, the room on inspection was clean and bright, with windows on 2 sides and flow through ventilation. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean, yes the towels are a...

Booked this hotel for two nights, however after the first night I was called by the front desk demanding to know why I had not checked out yet. As soon as I got off the phone with the front desk clerk, housekeeping barged into my locked room asking what did I think I was doing, that checkout was at 11am...

Our room was very good it was clean ,the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was fine. The breakfast was excellent. This is more a b&b than a hotel so dont expect anymore than that.Free off street parking is a bonus as well as the hotel being walking distance from the town centre.Too easy.

We booked this for somewhere to stay after a show in Oxford. Off street parking. 15 min walk into centre. Room clean, had all amenities you expect for a hotel of this rating. Staff friendly. Nice breakfast. Would recommend for somewhere to put your head down.

Okay, so after booking I read the Tripadvisor reviews and I was not sure what to expect and feared the worst. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I would say this hotel is more like a B&B, with no bar and minimal staff contact. The room (Room 12 ground floor) was clean, warm and quiet, and with all...

Well, where do we start! Our experience with this hotel was bad from the very beginning. We were recommended to this hotel after the first B and B we booked was closed for renovations. We took their advice and booked with the Victoria. Now think 'Fawlty Towers' and increase the intensity of poor service ten fold. The receptionist, who I...

Decided on a weekend break in Oxford. Partly to see a friend who was exhibiting at and Art Fair in the Town Hall and partly for sight-seeing. We were driving from London so we wanted to park at the hotel and be in walking distance from the city centre. Victoria hotel was in a good position. We were arriving around...

I've never stayed in such a place in my life. On arriving at around 3.30pm on 17th January 2015. The room was freezing cold as the heating was not on. I was chilled to the bone after waiting for half an hour or so for it to warm up. I decided I wasn't staying here as it was far too...
