Very friendly welcome, and the lobby smelt lovely! Given advice and directions for things to do/places to see. Room no. 7 - at the front - clean, comfortable and quiet. Didn't use the shower. Breakfast fine, good choice of cereals and Full English adequate. All staff we encountered were happy and helpful. On site car park and pleasant 10 minute...

First, the location of this B and B is perfect especially if you are on foot. It is about a 10 minute walk to the center of Oxford with plenty of buses stopping on the block. Our room was #15 which faced the back and car park. We found the room to be very quiet and often had the window...

Just got back from a 3 night stay (28th October) had a double room which was clean but there were no draws and only one single wardrobe in the room. I don't know if I met the owner or not as when we arrived someone was in the kitchen area and asked if we had booked, we were given the...

For exploring Oxford, this is an excellent location. We walked from one end to the other, and lots of place in between. Newton House was comfortable, friendly, very good breakfasts, the bedroom was comfortable, clean, and tidy, although the shower was a bit temperamental. We'd certainly return.

Its always possible to find fault. On this occasion I only want to mention the positives.Stayed for 2 nights and found the accomadation and breakfast very good. The location and parking were excellent and the main reason we booked the Newton. It was only a 10 minute walk to the city centre but buses were very frequent if you feel lazy.We would...

As a place to visit in England, Oxford gives more for the buck than almost any other. Great culture, history and entertainment in a city that is very compact and convenient. But the total area composing 'Oxford' is far larger, though it is mostly not of interest to tourists. Newton House is located right in the part of Oxford you'll...

Stayed 2 nights in August. On a busy road which leads straight into the city centre (0.5m) and is quite busy. Thought we were in luck as room 12 is at the back. In fact we lucked out as it's next to the back door and people are in and out to the rear car park and cigarette smells managed...

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay in Newton House Guesthouse. Our twin room was comfortable, clean, spacious enough and very attractively decorated! The family running the guesthouse were welcoming, kind and very polite and friendly. The full English breakfast was delicious and plentiful! My only two quibbles would be that our room at night was quite warm without...

A bit of a walk to town but is directly on the bus route. Comfortable room, reasonably priced, no complaints. Stayed five nights in April 2014 and would go back again. Just a short walk to the Head of the River restaurant, a lovely place to relax. Our first time in Oxford, had a great time. The Ashmolean is fantastic...
