Friendly greeting on check in from Victor, showed us to our room, Room 1 up 2 flights of stairs, he showed us how to use the heated flooring in the bathroom, explained about breakfast times, the fridge and fresh milk available. He explained where to catch the bus, just outside the hotel and a 5 minutes walk down the road to pubs and restaurants which you can scan the QR code and see the menu. We booked a king size room and wasn't disappointed, it was big enough with a wardrobe and plenty of drawers, with a hair dryer, there was a coffee machine and pods, tea bags, biscuits and 2 chocolates and a bottle of water. The bathroom was lovely with a fantastic hot shower and radiator and big white fluffy towels with complimentary shower gel and soap. We loved the complimentary parking and when we arrived early we could leave our car and go in to the city. Couldn't fault the choice of breakfast and the homemade bread and granola, compliments to the chef! Five minutes walk, left out of the hotel to Summertown where there was a variety of shops and restaurants and a pub Dew Drop Inn. Will definitely be booking again.

This hotel has character and is well located with a frequent bus service into town just outside and good local shops and restaurants in walking distance. Also there is parking and on last day we were able to leave the car there after we had checked out. Our clean and comfortable Queen room was on the top floor at the front, but the sound insulation meant we were not disturbed by the noise of traffic. What stands out however, is the excellent service and the quality of the breakfast. We would happily stay here again.

We stayed 2 nights in order to visit family. We know Oxford well having previously lived here so knew the location was good for easy access to the ring road and also a short walk into Summertown for bars, cafes & shops. The hotel is on the busy Banbury Rd so quite noisy during the evening if you have the windows open but it quietens down considerably over night and did not affect our sleep. We were met on arrival at the hotel by a gentleman whose manner was quite abrupt. We enquired what route we would need to take the day of our departure as the Banbury Rd was due to be closed due to the Oxford half marathon. We were told we would need to contact the organisers of the race to check. We did feel that this was info the hotel staff should have been aware of rather than refer customers to the race organisers. Our room was very clean with excellent bathroom and tv with all the various channels, including Netflix etc which was a nice touch. Breakfast was very good and the staff were really welcoming & friendly and the food was cooked fresh to order. I would have liked some sort of email confirmation after making the booking but did appreciate the text on the morning of our arrival asking for approximate time of arrival.

The owner Nes was very welcoming and friendly. It looks like it’s a converted house and we could park our car there for free. Our room was outside the main house in an annexe that has been purpose built, I think there were three rooms in the outside block. The room was well built and decorated but tiny, it's basically a room mainly filled up by a double bed, very little space to move around and not much storage. There was a tv and kettle in the room but if you need to iron anything you have to go into the main house and use the ironing board there. The ensuite is a wet room so that might not suit everyone. It was fine for what we wanted but it did feel a bit cramped. We felt the breakfast was a bit disappointing, my partner is a vegan and the only choice she had was one large mushroom on one piece of toast. They mentioned they cater for vegans but it didn’t really feel that way as there was no other options to pick and what they served was very basic and small. Just adding baked beans, veg and some sort of potato option would’ve made all the difference. In terms of location again it was ok for us but if you have issues with long walks it might not suit. I think it took us about 45 minutes to walk into Oxford centre. You can get a bus into the centre from just outside the hotel though. Overall it was nice, I think if we went back to Oxford we’d look to stay closer to the town centre only because it did feel a bit far away.

We stayed yesterday for one night as we wanted to visit Oxford. The hotel is situated on one of the main roads into Oxford and on several bus routes, so is ideally located. There is free parking, including an electric charging point. The owner, Nes, is a wonderfully warm man who cannot do enough to make your stay and has a wealth of knowledge of the area. We had a lovely large room on the ground floor with a fabulous shower, tea and coffee facilities with herbal teas and fresh water and biscuits, tv, hairdryer and plenty of wardrobe space. The breakfast was on another level - homemade granola, yogurt, marmalade and jam, locally sourced free range eggs and plenty of choice for continental and cooked breakfasts. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend.

They have an annex sperate to the main property which is not made clear when you book.. My stay was in November and it was really cold, the heating was not working and they were unable to fix it during my short stay. I ended up getting a chill and was off work for a week afterwards. The annex rooms also do not have any form of sound proofing. a couple in the next room were having a 'fun' time during the night and I heard their antics all night. I did not sleep well at all. I was gutted.
When you are in the annex you have to walk across a small outside patio to get breakfast. This is horrible in the rain, which I had to do. It really feels like you have been relegated into the naughty room.
On the positive side, the cooked breakfast was lovey. They had homemade bread and the bacon and eggs were yummy. The location is good as well as there are bus tops close by that go into oxford main town centre, and its a ten min walk to Summertown.

Firstly a very warm welcome at the door by the owner and a well presented home. I was allowed to check in at 10.30am a great bonus . Parking although limited was very good. The room eventhough very clean and the extra towels and tea facilities were good the room I stayed in was tired. The room was a single room with an extremely small ensuite maybe a reflection on the price I paid but would recommend you choose another room. Road noise if the window was left open. The breakfast was the highlight excellent on all account and could not ask for better mostly homemade. 10am is the checkout. To sum up a very welcoming B&B worth an overnight stay great breakfast good service but avoid the single occupancy room.

Absolutely stunning rooms, bathroom was exceptional and shower was without doubt the best shower I've ever experienced in the UK, ideally located just outside the city and surrounded by some amazing restaurants.
The breakfast experience was first class and really attentive, with various homemade options.
The hosts were also incredibly friendly and nothing was to much.
