We enjoyed our tour of Christ Church College, Oxford University. A bunch of stuff for Harry Potter fans and a lot of tradition. We did this as part of a tour and everyone was very satisfied with what we get to see.

The Quads of Jesus College are an oasis of calm right in the centre of Oxford. Rooms are basic but have all required facilities - but it's not really the room you stay here for, it's the overall ambience, the history and the central location of this lovely old Oxford college. We had a good breakfast in the lovely old... More

Stayed as a couple and really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was simple but clean and warm and more than sufficient for our needs. It was a shared bathroom for 2 rooms but nobody was in the other room so it was fine. There was a bit of noise from a alley that ran behind the back of the room... More

Stayed in modern student room, maybe ten years old, with en suite bathroom, right in the centre of Oxford - you are literally one minute's walk away from the pedestrian Cornmarket. Everything clean and efficient, including, crucially, the shower and the wifi. Big bed, almost big enough for two! No service as such, but very good. There is a lift.... More

For anyone who wants a "behind the scenes" experience of life in one of the oldest and most interesting Oxford University Colleges, similar in many respects to that of a typical undergraduate student, an overnight stay in Jesus College is an absolute must! Founded by Queen Elizabeth 1st on 27th June, 1571, to provide higher education for the people of... More

I went with a group from the Women's Institute. We looked at the library and quads and were given an interesting talk about the library and the college history and ethos. If you're interested in architecture and history this has it all. The lunch in the hall was very good and what a place to eat, just like being at... More

I would stay there again because one just cannot beat the location. When you make a reservation, you think you are going to stay in beautiful old Jesus College.. Not so, they put you in a remodeled building in a back alley behind the beautiful quadrangles. Eatng breakfast in the hall is very pleasant except that the eggs are always... More

I booked to stay here as a surprise birthday present for my Dad who is alumni of Jesus college and hasn't been back for years. I am very disappointed that despite having paid high-end prices for rooms we were given rooms in the modern halls of residence in a totally different building to the old college which completely defeated the... The rooms and the whole house have a special atmosphere. Originally I decided to stay here because the costs for the room were really okay, especially for Oxford. Jesus College isn't the college I attended in Oxford but it reminded me a lot of it - the atmosphere is great. Don't expect a lot of luxuries, you won't find them... More

OK bias alert: this is my old college, but I hadn't stayed there for decades till last month. And I do recommend it because it's right in the middle of Oxford, two minutes away from just about everything, and it's full of atmosphere. Undergraduate atmosphere, maybe, but then, that's what you'd expect from a room that is, in real life,... More
