We stayed in the hotel for a two night stay. This is a rather large venue, very easy to find and close to the town centre. Parking is not a problem, there is plenty of it! The down side is that it is a little bit too much "business and corporate", if you are on a romantic break! Our room...

After a most pleasant stay in this hotel, we left on Tuesday morning- I discovered I'd left my hair straighteners behind. They're already in the post - thanks so much to the very nice housekeeper I spoke to and thanks for the prompt response. The hotel is clean, with nice, comfortable rooms and large bathrooms. Dinner provided a good choice...

I stayed here on a Sunday night because I had a course starting early the next morning. Despite arriving early evening there was a queue to check in. Various staff seemed available and there were two service points but only one was open. There was no apology for keeping me waiting, which is never a great way to start! The...

Got a good deal from "Secret Escapes" with dinner included. Nice room looking out on the Thames, 15 minute walk along scenic towpath or roadway to town centre. Staff professional and friendly at all levels. Good menu with dining room staff who knew about what they were serving. Spa has nice pool but not much room for lounging. Hard to...

Driving along Abingdon road you have the park and ride for Oxford town centre, garages, houses and then you turn off for the Oxford Spires Four Pillars Hotel and it's like you are in the countryside. A large hotel with character. We had a warm welcome at reception and luckily our rooms were ready, even though it was only 12.30...

As soon as you get to the lobby, you feel the hotel could do with a modern uplift. The bar follows the same pattern. Rooms are spacious and have the amenities but again could do with a touch up. Staff are very good though and there's some nice walks you can go on locally. Not really a special place and...

Stayed here with a group of 10 friends for a weekend. The hotel is very large, but relatively comfortable. Nothing fancy, but served it's purpose for the weekend. Wasn't cheap for what you got, which was a perfectly adequate hotel with not a lot of atmosphere or style. Ate in the restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by the food. Staff...

This is actually quite a large hotel, which is probably used for coach tours as well. The good points are the walking proximity to Oxford, the free car parking, decent food although no atmosphere in the restaurant and bar area and friendly staff - apart from the room cleaning ladies who talked loudly sitting on the floor in the hallway...

Dear GES57, Thank you for your review. I agree the location of the hotel is excellent to explore Oxford, being only a 15 minute walk along the river path. We stayed five nights in late February 2016. Reception and check in staff were friendly and helpful. Room was a reasonable size, as was the bathroom. Bed was quite large and comfy.
