Our visit did not start well. On arriving at Reception at just past 2pm with our bags we were met by a receptionist on the phone (clearly to someone much more important than us). She interrupted the call to ask if we wanted anything. We indicated that we wanted to check in (pretty obvious with our bags one would have... More

After reading the reviews here, I was expecting to meet the devil himself. We were actually greeted by a very polite man! The room was fine, a bit of dust here and there, but the bedding was clean and so was the toilet and shower. Great price and a lovely breakfast!

This is a wonderful little guest house with good transportation to the botanical gardens, city center, and university (if you don't want to walk the 20 minutes). The family who runs it is warm, welcoming, and fun. The place is very clean, beds are comfortable (cotton sheets), en suite bath, tea-making facilities in the rooms, and a cooked breakfast. I... This is a gem in a VERY overpriced city. The rooms was very clean and neat. Not the best shower and a bit old but everything is very carefully looked after by the friendliest staff north of the equator. Nothing was too much effort and the personal touch makes all the difference. Considering everything could not have made a better... More

We stayed here for 5 nights in July. The rooms were upstairs on the 2nd floor and the stairs are steep and narrow. Room was clean and comfortable but the bed was sunken in the middle. Bathroom fine, but small. Excellent cooked breakfast, prepared and served to order. Very friendly and helpful management/proprietors. Rather pricey accommodation though.

We only stayed one night here but we were very impressed. The room was absolutely spotless and was of a high standard. The breakfast was very good and the whole place was very calm. On the morning when we left it was raining and the manager behind the desk dropped us off in the city centre, which was much appreciated.... More

Location is perfect. Bus stop right in front #3 - or walk into city center. The host innkeeper knows what they are doing. Helpful, great breakfast, roomy room with a bath tub! Perfect pub across the street. Maybe higher priced than other B&B's but all well worth it. Helpful in determining which bus line to use to return LHR. 5... More

The room and the hotel as a whole were very clean, and the bed was comfortable. There is a bus stop at the door, which will take you directly to Oxford City Centre. It is also close to the City Centre if you prefer to walk. Staff were friendly and helpful, I was even offered a lift on departure. The... More

We were here for Oxford May Music, which is a full five days starting late and finishing late, so a comfortable hotel is essential. We got; a very comfortable room with plenty of space, a comfotable lounge, caring and unobtrusive service and a good breakfast each day. The hotel was clean and well maintained. We could not look for more.
