A small hotel, well situated within walking distance of the Central Bust Station and downtown, Royal Oxford is a reasonable alternative to higher priced hotels in Oxford. The staff is very accommodating, rooms are small and inelegantly furnished, but the overall result is a good deal. Note that there is no lift.

The hotel was convenient for our stay, the room and bathroom were both clean and of a good size. However, we thought that for a room only, it was expensive, although we realise that Oxford is an expensive place to stay.

If you are traveling the Royal Oxford is perfectly situated within easy walking distance of both the train station and the central bus station. But be aware, it has no elevator so if you don't travel light you will face a work out. Having said that the front desk staff were most helpful in helping to carry luggage up and...

We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the railway and bus stations. we were a travelling party of 4 with a medium sized luggage in transit to another destination. We planned to stay in Oxford for 2 days and see the rest of the shire by train. The hotel is very near the railway station. After making through...

We chiose the hotel as it was right next to the station. Also only 5 minutes in the other direction were lots of restaurants. But the facilities weren't the best. No lift so struggled to carry bags up and down stairs ourself. We never took breakfast but the 'cafe' didnt look appealing. Bed was comfortable, warm duvet, shower was fine,...

We stayed in Oxford over the weekend for the half marathon on Sun 13th Oct and had an excellent stay in this hotel. The hotel is in a good proximity to the rail station and the city centre attractions. Whilst it is surrounded by busy roads the double glazing works well and we had a good night's sleep during our...

We stayed here recently, and when I saw the hotel from the outside I was a bit nervous, but that all changed when we were inside. The hotel is clean and comfortable with anything you could want. Breakfast was fine. The best part was the staff; they were so pleasant and went out of their way to help in what...

We took the train into Oxford and took an easy walk to the Hotel. We left via the bus to Heathrow and again it's an easy walk to the bus station (highly recommend the bus to Heathrow - by the way) --- so Location is Great. The room was amazingly spacious (especially for Euro standards). Breakfast in the AM was...

I have stayed at a number of hotels in Oxford on regular business trips. I had never heard good things about the Royal Oxford. Having tried the Malmaison, the Best Western, the Buttery, the Old Bank, and even once the dreaded Westgate (errrr... "Estgate," the W has fallen off) I finally gave it a whirl and now this is my...

The Royal Oxford Hotel is only 3 minute walk with luggage from the Oxford Train Station. Out the main doors of the station and down the block, real easy to find. Our room was large, comfortable, clean and quiet, with free Wi-Fi. The bathroom was also large with a bath / shower, watch the step to get into the bathroom....
