Our first time in Oxford and the hotel had its pro's and con's. Location was good and we dumped the car in Staples for £5 per day and didn't use it for 3 days! The room we had was No.110 at the front and it was Ok. It was clean but a little tired for £122 a night. The shower... More

An excellent location for walking around most of the Oxford colleges and sights. Handy for evening entertainment in Oxford and local restaurants and pubs. No on site restaurant but a good breakfast in the Jam Factory opposite. Clean, comfortable room but a bit difficult parking unless you know to park at Staples just down the road for a fiver for... This hotel is very close to the train station. It is an easy 10 minute walk into the town center. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The price was the most reasonable I could find, as Oxford is an expensive city with not a lot of hotels. The room was sufficient, not overly fancy, but decent. I had asked... More

Great location if you are travelling by train as the station is just 5 min walk away. The room we had 115 had a nice bathroom which seemed recently refurbished. On arrival there was fresh fruit in the room. Tea/coffee making facilities with biscuits and complementary bottles of water which was a nice touch and all replenished daily as were... More

The location was very convenient. There are restaurants nearby and it was only 10-min away from the city centre. However, the bed was a bit uncomfortable and it could get a little bit noisy when there are buses/ motor-cycle going pass. It was also a bit inconvenient as guests were not allowed to keep their room keys.

Oxford is expensive, and I thought this hotel was good value for Oxford. 2 minutes from railway station and 5 -10 minutes walk to the centre of town. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable and the shower was good. It is true that the decor was a little tired, but that is the only negative thing I can say. Staff... More

We enjoyed our two night stay at this hotel. The staff were absolutely lovely. We did not try breakfast so cannot comment on that. Our room was on the second floor and looked out over the area towards the railway station (the hotel is perfectly situated for anyone travelling by rail). The room was very comfortable with a good bathroom... More

The whole hotel had the feeling that it needed a good revamp and costs were being cut which was disappointing given the cost. While it was clean, the decor was very tired, the bath was stained, and even cheap and simple things were amiss, such as there being no robe provided and a rather unhygienic paper sign on the inside... 5 mins walk to the main shopping precinct. I parked my car at Staples which is 2 mins walk right next to the hotel. The hotel reserved a spot for me and I just paid the hotel. 5 pounds per day. The hotel has no lift and my room was in the first floor. When checking in there was a... More

The staff was very friendly and we arrived early, left our luggage and went sightseeing. Upon return that evening we found our luggage had been carried to our room, and the staff in the evening was just as friendly. . We had the family room and it was lovely, spacious and beautiful. There were complimentary fruit, candies, cookies and lots... More
