If you like quirky, bohemian, simple and clean this is the place for you .What a good find ! Having visited Oxford with work repeatedly in recent months I was becoming more disheartened by the high prices of soul-less hotels and the variation in standards with air bnb. This is a simple hotel decorated in a quirky funky hippy-ish style... More

Stayed here for an overnight visit to Oxford. I booked the cheapest room which did not have an en-suite bathroom, but I must have been upgraded when I arrived as the room I stayed in did have an en-suite, so that was nice of them. As stated in the title, the room I stayed in was of a good standard,... More

Stayed in one of the rooms that is off the main house. It feels like it has been very recently fitted out as everything seems new and for the most part well thought out. Room was large enough, warm, and quiet. Has one of those walk in showers which makes the whole bathroom floor wet - not my preference, but... More

Came here for breakfast with my friends. We were pleasantly surprised when we went inside as it is so nice with the cafe bit and then the conservatory. Initially the girl behind the counter wasn't friendly but after i said hello first she loosened up and we had a nice chat about the homemade cakes. We then sat at the... More

We were visiting Oxford for a wedding and I did the usual search against hotels and was suitably very surprised at how expensive the hotels were on a Saturday in October. Browns was very reasonably priced so we took the plunge! All I can say is that Room 9 with an ensuite was great - my wife said it was... More

First of all I apologise for taking ages to write a review. What a terrific little place. Helpful and easy going. Lovely bakery/cafe for your breakfast and a good coffee. My mate and myself stayed there while working at the Countryfile show in the summer (August 2016?) There were a couple of hiccups in the finer details of our bookings... More

What was once just a B&B is now a lovely bakery/café. The food is absolutely delicious and all of the baked goods, cakes and pastries, are made fresh daily. Everything is homemade. They even do an incredible brunch. Make sure you give this new place a try! They are also the only local place I had ever found that makes... More

I stayed at Brown's for 2 days in July 2016. I took the bus from Heathrow - very convenient - but neglected to research the location - totally my fault - and got off the bus quite a long walk from Brown's. I was in Oxford for summer school, carrying a backpack of clothing and another heavy backpack of 15+... More

Hidden gem on iffley road. You can order your breakfast at the counter and sit in the beautiful garden at the back. My breakfast came quickly and looked and tasted great. In an area where good breakfast places are hard to find, this is definitely the option to go to.

The small 'cabin' (non en-suite) room cost me £70 a night and there was no in-room tea/coffee making facilities. Although breakfast was included the policy is now to charge extra for breakfast. The communal shower didn't work on the second floor either. I cannot understand why owners want to screw the last pound out of guests when it sours the... More
