We went to the Queens Head for two meals while we were staying in Horspath. The staff were amazing, really friendly and looked after us so well. Food was great and they even cooked dinner especially for us on the Monday night when they don't usually open the kitchen. Would highly recommend this place if you're in the area.

My husband and I stayed here with another couple following a day trip at Bicester Village. When I booked it I assumed it was rooms above a pub, so was a bit apprehensive. But when we arrived we were taken to two ground floor rooms at the back of the pub which were lovely and cosy. The room was exceptionally... More

We found this place by accident when looking for a hotel close to Toot Baldon. The room was spotlessly clean and had a wet room. Free wifi on site was a huge bonus and the staff were excellent. nothing was too much trouble. I would not hesitate to stay here again in fact we are looking to go back for... More

Jane & Paul are gradually getting this lovely village inn back to where it was 20 years ago, and have the formula right! It's a locals pub, but so near to Oxford, a gem. They also stock the beers on draught from the local Shotver Brewery, heaven or not?

Located just outside of Oxford, it gave us an opportunity to experience to life in the countryside. The Pub food was great and the local people were very friendly. The staff was extremely helpful. The room location (in relation to the Pub) presented a challenge. To let in air we had to open a window which meant we experience smoke... More

Room was a twin bed room. Warm, clean and comfortable. Got woken by the compressor, but thats probably just me. I was working and on my own, went for a beer and very well cooked Pie and Chips. Lots of locals in and people at the beer on a Tuesday night, friendly banter. British welcome, none of that forced "hows... More

Stayed the night before daughter's graduation, at Oxford Brookes, what a little gem. Janet and her husband and son were lovely and friendly and kind. The room are spacious (rooms 4/5) with shared en-suite, as we were a family it was no concern. The food in the pub was good pub grub, and a good selection of beer. It was... More

Myself and my partner stayed her during August 2012, as part of a tour of the South/ South West. It's a little way outside Oxford, but in the end we found everything we wanted in this little village so didn't bother! Our room was very nice, a little bungalow outside the pub, with a large en-suite bathroom suitable for wheelchair... More

Just stayed at the queens head in horsepath...lovely little village pub within 10 minutes of oxford....room was lovely..... but no pre warning of "shared" en suite....not very satisfactory as you rely on the other guests "unlocking" your access door to get into the bathroom....unfortunately our neighbours forgot & we had to wake them up in the middle of the night... We were quite happy here. The room was big and very clean, the bathroom the same. Staff were nice and friendly and we didn't hear any noise from the pub. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you have a car to trip into Oxford with. However, if you don't, the saving in room costs probably won't offset the charge of a... More
