The central position in chipping norton was the only thing we liked about this hotel when we stayed there in July. The room we were allocated needed redecorating. Breakfast was okay but the China was chipped and the staff unhelpful.i would rather sleep in the car than go to the crown and cushion again

Lovely old building and very clean and looked after. Pub fireplace snug and cosy. For the cost it is well worth a visit and better than some hotels ive paid more for. Staff friendly and went out of their way to make it nice for my daughters birthday.

Stayed here for one night en route to Cornwall. Initially chosen because of the price. Don't think the hotel was busy as parking was very easy in their carpark - it is quite small so I can imagine some folk might be disappointed if it was full. Son used pool - pleasant apparently, but the gym seemed shut! Breakfast was... More

We wanted a base to explore a few Cotswold locations, we picked this place as it was central to where we wanted to be, convenient, and secure parking. I had my father-in-law with me, so we asked for a ground floor room as he is unsteady on stairs. We arrived, having already figured out there is private (limited spaces) parking... More

Excellent food both evening meal and breakfast. An old building but modern bathroom. Everywhere was lovely and warm. We were able to sit in a comfortable room by ourselves for coffee after. Dinner and have a good old chat.

Room in annexe across the car park. Facilities ok, but only window was onto internal corridor so curtains had to be drawn for privacy. Charged £10 for dog, but nothing provided for a dog! Good full English breakfast. Parking tricky.

lovely hotel in the heart of chipping Norton. very homely feel, bar is cosy and the food is really comforting and very reasonable price wise - as is the drink. the sunday carvery is probably one of the best and for only £8.95 you can have as much meat as you like. parking is available on site, this place is... Old fashioned hotel that lacks charm and warmth. My room was clean and tidy but fairly basic and lacked character. I came back one day to find the cleaner had been in but the door wasn't shut securely and was essentially left open all day! The heating only came on at 9.30 in the evening which made the rooms fairly... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for our anniversary from the 14th to the 16th October. As stated in the review title we were quite releaved when we got to the hotel and saw it for the first time. We had seen some of the poor reviews for this hotel and wondered if we had made a mistake... More
