I initially thought I had wandered onto the set of Downton Abbey Stunning main hall and grounds, grand entrance big open fire beautiful but.... Room was disappointing, There was a desk and a chair but no room to put them together I had to perch on the end of the bed to work not good for posture Also I was...

Enjoyed a corporate entertainment awards dinner - excellent in most areas. Found the room orientation a tad awkward as so many corridors and such a large venue with little signage from the hall to the park area but neverthe less a minor issue. Rooms clean and very comfortable with all amenities. Dinner and celebration hall absolutely fabulous in every way,...

Stayed before visiting Bicester village - spa was gorgeous we had a room In the original house. Staff were very accommodating and I wouldn't hesitate in going back ! The roll top bath was lovely the huge lawns and large amount of parking

Poor signage for parking and entrance to the main house did not make for a warm welcome or an easy entrance. Opening the door to what was assumed, without any signage, to be the main entrance we were met by a cold, soulless atmosphere and a receptionist who was less than welcoming. She quipped that there was only one double...

The grounds and the architecture are gorgeous; we used Heythrop Park as a starting point for a day of cycling and it was perfect for that. The staff were nice and our room was very comfortable. If I could offer some suggestions for improvement, they would include: - This didn't bother us but you might not technically staying within the...

Empty glasses not cleared off the bars , looked awful . £10.20 for a pint of lager and a archers and lemonade .poorly trained staff. Gave...

Shabby historic house, very poorly managed. Would be failing but for coach loads of tourists visiting the vicinity and presumably only staying overnight. Also large, drunken public sector conferences. 3 nights as business guest with no sleep. Disinterested maintenance staff. No sign of the duty manager. Venue provided with every opportunity to discuss and redress experience but no response. Very...

We stayed here as one of 3 couples on a racing (Cheltenham) weekend. Lovely old building with loads of character. Yes the rooms (Archer wing) weren't huge but they were big enough, and it's a pity the bar and restaurant in the old hall weren't open but the Brassey restaurant was very good, food and service were excellent, particularly the...

Impressive long driveway and imposing building but they don't let you park in the front despite loads of room . Long walk from parking the car when there's a function on and many guests are parking on the drive. We had booked a double room but when we entered it was a twin - they did put it right very...

We stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago and had a nice visit so decided to stay again for the night while travelling through to another location. We didn't arrive till 8pm so all we wanted to do was grab something to eat and go to bed (we were travelling with our 4year old). The room was ok,...
