Very enjoyable evening at the Golden Pheasant. Pleasant room with a large bathroom. A little stuffy but all you would need. Would recommend the Steak and Ale pie and the breakfast was very good. Ate in the bar area which was very good except for a chap who spoke so loudly we almost moved tables. Would go again - all...

I love Burford, very quaint and relaxing. Never stayed at the Golden Pheasant before but remembered going there for the evening when there was some live music. The room was £160, really small with a roll-top bath in the bedroom, TV was only working on a couple of channels but apart from that it was ok. No music in the...

We stayed here on December 17th to celebrate our anniversary as we had stayed here 2 years previously and had a great time in a lovely room. We booked the room in June 2016 and my other half expressed it was a celebration in the special requirements. The room we had was in the main building it had a separate...

Hello, we are surprised to learn that the room wasn't what you expected. You booked our cheapest room via Booking.com for your anniversary. Booking.com are very diligent in ensuring that their room descriptions are accurate, and they clearly state that the room you stayed in is not ensuite on their website.

We booked 2 nights here with friends over the Christmas period for a Wedding in Burford. This hotel from the outside is beautiful in a picturesque setting. Our room was in the attic and not one of the best I would say seeing our friends'. We experienced a problem with the shower not working and the bath being extremely small,...

Beautiful, clean & cozy room, best wetroom/shower we had in our travels across the UK. Excellent location, Friendly staff, Delicious breakfast, onsite parking, in the amazingly pretty Burford, skip staying in the (very expensive) Cotswolds and just stay here instead.

Lovely old world style inn, rooms good size. we had two rooms; kingfisher in the main building has a 4 poster bed and magpie was in the courtyard. Both rooms had the usual facilities; tea, flat tv, hairdryer, ensuite. Clean, tidy and comfortable.

Lovely attic room full of character very clean, the staff are really friendly and work very hard. Great breakfast in the morning which was much needed after an evening drinking wine and listening to the very good band they had in the bar. I would recommend this venue.

We enjoyed one night in one of the lovely courtyard rooms (teal). Although a little small it was comfortable and perfect for a stop over. The roll top bath in the room was nice and the bed was spot on. Only downside of the room was that it was noisy. We could hear those upstairs walking about and we could...

Stayed here whilst visiting friends in the area, room was ok, bed very hard, could do with upgrading, breakfast 10/10 but in the evening the bar area very noisy and somewhat 'local'. The room could do with an upgrades well, it is looking very tired, would have to reconsider staying there again.

I had read some of the previous reviews and I will admit I was a bit worried about our stay, especially as the price for a night is more than I would normally pay for a hotel. However I am so glad I didn't listen, we have had an absolutely wonderful stay. Firstly the staff on the phone and email...
