As you may gather from the number of reviews I have written, I have stayed in an awful lot of hotels. This one is in the lovely tourist trap and millionaire's playground that is the Cotswolds. There is a picture of our former PM, call me Dave, on the wall and the food is surprisingly Spanish. The rooms are charming... More

Lovely, historic coaching inn and we had a wonderfully atmospheric suite, the best room in the place - 'Trafalgar' - with the legend that Nelson stayed there in 1802, and with many original features: ancient fireplace, creaking, sloping floor, low uneven, beamed ceiling. Plus, a large, comfortable bed, a cosy settee and two armchairs, writing desk and table, large tv... More

Stayed there at the weekend and the room was ok, rather tired looking and dated soft furnishings and decor neither in keeping with the old hotel either go modern or keep in line with the hotel. Service was absolutely non existent, nobody to check us in properly, nobody at the bar when we went in for an evening drink about... More

We stopped off at The Bull's Inn on our way home from a holiday in Cornwall and were delighted to find a little gem. It is a quintessential Cotswolds building with a quirky charm. However, the inn has a unique flavour - offering tapas and really excellent food. We ate fish which was cooked to perfection, not to mention the... More

Six of us regularly stay at the Bull when we attend Prescott Hillclimb in early August. We stay at the Bull because it is shabby chic with good food, friendly staff and is in the centre of Burford. This year we ate on two occasions over the weekend, once having tapas and the Saturday night a three course meal. Both... More

Stayed for three nights for the Prescott Hill Climb (with vintage cars) we come down every year and have often stayed in Burford; in fact we all stayed (6 of us) at the Bull last August. Firstly, the description of the hotel is dated, the food is now Spanish and the hotel is tired as are the rooms. Our rate... More

Excellent welcoming staff, especially Alvaro the general manager. The rooms are clean and very comfortable and the bathroom was very well equipped. Excellent Food. A super stay will return. Excellent value for money.

Excellent welcoming staff, especially attentive was Alvaro the general manager. We stayed in the Trafalgar suite; a beautiful quirky room, full to brimming with character, walls, floor, roof slopped, yet the bathroom was large and modern, so best of both worlds. Excellent full English breakfast in the morning, including haggis! Location couldn't be more central half way up the hill... More

This is my fourth stay at The Bull in the last two years and each time I am treated like family. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the location is in the heart of Burford's downtown and the food is absolutely delicious. I am a big fan of the spectacular breakfast spread. Staff is helpful and accommodating, I couldn't ask... More

Unfortunately our room was at the front and the road is busy. I was grateful for the complimentary ear plugs. Room was also a little bit shabby which I wouldn't have minded if it wasn't for the road. I imagine the experience would be improved if one wasn't at the front as the breakfast room was lovely and the sticky... More
