Our family of three adults stayed with Caroline and Richard for three nights. Both rooms were spacious and comfortable and immaculately presented. The breakfasts were first class with fruit, cereal and a full English with bacon, eggs etc. Taynton is a delightful hamlet, very quiet with little through traffic and only a mile and a half from the bustle and... For our first visit to the Cotswold my husband and I leaned toward a stay at a hotel/pub/dining establishment. But glad we chose this small village cottage instead. Quiet nice sleep in a comfortable bed easily accomodating two. Spacious room and en suite bath/shower accomodated our traveling bags and toiletries. This was another concern I had in the older hotels;... More

I took my mother to the Cotswolds for a few days. We stayed at this delightful Bed and Breakfast. The house is so elegant and there are arrangements of fresh flowers everywhere. The garden is a beauty. The hosts are welcoming and friendly. We loved the breakfast with fresh fruit salad, rhubarb and plums compote. And the cooked breakfast was... More

what a wonderful find in the cotswolds. Arrived a little earlier than arranged ,but this was no problem Caroline was very welcoming and we were soon settled in and were given tea and scones in the lounge. The cottage and garden are beautiful and have an array of lovely plants and shrubs. Our room was immaculately clean with plenty of storage... More

We finally got round to making a return visit after 5 years and found things just as perfect as we remembered. Richard and Caroline are so welcoming and their home is beautiful. Set in the tiny village of Taynton yet just a mile away Burford The rooms are well furnished and comfortable and the breakfasts are everything you could wish... More

My wife and I stayed three nights at Box Tree Cottage as a base to see the Cotswolds and Oxford as part of an extended driving tour of Great Britain. The Cottage is located in the tiny village of Taynton, just a few minutes drive from the larger town of Burford. Our room was clean, large and comfortable, as was... More

We have stayed with Caroline twice, this time in early May. Her home is beautiful and the rooms are very clean, bright and well appointed. The in-suite bathrooms are large and very nice. The Cottage located in Taynton is a beautiful and quiet village setting away from the busy, touristy Burford. She has a beautiful garden and off street parking.... More

Our 4 day stay in April was a perfect culmination to a wonderful driving trip through English Midlands before tackling the bustle of London. Home is as depicted in photos...garden, decor, breakfast all excellent. Our only disappointment was the " King" sized bed was barely a Queen by North American/European standards. However, we found this to be an issue elsewhere... More

We stayed here over the bank holiday weekend. Everything was perfect. The house is beautiful and set in a pretty village just outside of Burford. The room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was so delicious and the variety was beyond our expectations. Caroline and her husband were a delight. Their attention to the small details really sets them... More

Amazing experience in such a premium relaxing environment. The hosts were wonderfully welcoming and served us a freshly made delicious breakfast. The cottage is at the heart of the beautiful cotswold, with restaurants and traditional award winning pubs in just a few miles away.
