What a sight to see, walk through the entrance only to be met by blazing log fires, what an impressive experience. Never mind the food, or the service they both speak for themselves, but the sight and the smell of log fires is enough to warm the soul. This is a great hotel serving great food, smashing, just smashing. We...

If you're looking for the five star Cotswold hotel experience, this is it. The uneven stone floors, the low beams, the blazing log fires, the antique furnishings and the comfortable quirky bedrooms provide a glimpse into the past. The bed and the fresh linen were luxurious. My only slight niggle was that the water pressure in the shower could have...

We went for Sunday lunch which I had booked by telephone three days previously. Met in bar by waiter who couldn't find booking, he went to get a manager who pretty aggressively asked if it was "The Lamb in Burford" that I had booked, and then said they were full for lunch. I described the conversation I had on booking....

This is a very well managed hotel which retains all its old world character with modern levels of service. We stayed overnight in very comfortable well appointed rooms and had lunch and a meal in the bar in the evening. The lunch was taken in the lovely garden area of the hotel on a sunny day and we sat there...

The Lamb Inn is an excellent place to stay. We stayed 1 night in Rosie room yesterday which has its own garden and own entrance. As the weather was so nice we were able to sit in the garden. The room itself has everything you need and more, very comfortable bed and very clean as was the bathroom could not...

Old fashioned bar with a good range of beers and interesting sharing platters which make for a really good pub lunch. The bar staff are very friendly and happy to share their local knowledge and make suggestions of places to visit.

I'm struggling a bit because I do like the Lamb but I think it is a little over priced. It is basically like most other places of this type, in this type of location, that cater for tourists who like a bit of traditional English stuff with fine dining. The rooms are OK but a little pricy. The common areas...

While service is okayish the food is absolutely awful - we went to the fine dining restaurant and it's actually terrible - if you are used to dining well or remotely used to eating at Michelin star quality pls spare yourself the agony of going there - you will be better off eating at the local pub.

I am shocked and disappointed to read your review as I know that every other diner in the restaurant enjoyed their meals that evening, and the restaurant was full. We are extremely proud of the quality of our food and service (which we believe is much more than 'okayish'). Both of which are award-winning, having gained 3 AA Rosettes for...

This supposedly dog friendly pub didn't seem quite so pleased to se us with dogs as we expected. the beers were nice and the food looked lovely. We tried to book a particular part of the pub for sunday Lunch for our large group of 8 adults and one infant and 2 dogs but we were not allowed to book...

Thank you for choosing The Lamb Inn although I am disappointed by your comments that suggest we are inflexible with bookings and not dog-friendly - Today, for example, we have welcomed over a dozen dogs and provided a bowl of water and biscuits for each one! I recall your visit and that you clearly enjoyed your time with us. It...

Called in to this charming Cotswold gastro pub for Sunday lunch today. The goats cheese souffle was as light as a feather and beautifully presented. The roast lamb was perfectly cooked and served with mashed swede and carrot, red cabbage, duck fat roasted potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and minted gravy - all faultless!. Service was quick and efficient. Just wish it...
