The Lamb Inn is certainly beautifully located: on a quiet side street off what must be one of the most charming high streets in England. And the inn itself is wonderful. We enjoyed a first-floor (i.e. above the ground floor) room facing Sheep St. It was a very warm day (80s F), and the room did get hot, but we... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Lamb in Buford. The setting is beautiful and the staff is top notch. Guests could enjoy the food in the dining room, the garden or the bar and all was excellent. Accommodations were comfortable and quiet.

The Lamb is the best place for lunch in Burford: the most civilized surroundings and service, and the best food. I've eaten there many times during my summer holiday stay in the area, and the Lamb has never disappointed. The staff are very efficient and pleasant, and the menu is exceptionally large and varied, with great choices both on the... More

We visited my old home town from my school days in Burford on Feb 16 opting to stay in a deluxe garden room at The Lamb Inn. Lovely touches like Molton Brown toiletries and teddies in the rooms (I bought mine!). We had a fabulous dinner in the restaurant and also ate in the bar at lunch. Breakfast was amazing... More

Just had another Sunday lunch here, the service is attentive and polite withour being intrusive, the quality of the food is superb, we ate in the dineing room, nice cloths on the tables, and refined white crockery. nice loung area as well. Although this is in a tourist spot the staff treat all with the feeling that they want you... More

We recently had dinner in this lovely Cotswold inn, located in a fine street of Cotswold stone houses just off the High Street in Burford. Our visit was spoilt to some extent by poor customer service - reading othe customer reviews it seems that this is pot luck . We were shown a very extensive menu when we booked our... More

Had a meal here last Saturday with friends from School. It was a 40 year reunion. The staff were great and the food was good but tiny portions. I started with Scallops and although it was delicious it was slightly difficult to tell because it was one scallop. Followed with fish, can't honestly remember what but it was also delicious... What a find hidden off the Burford high street. A delightful old hotel and restaurant. The garden is well looked after with lawn and tables ideal for a hot summer lunch. We had the local beers with snacks. All served with polite and helpful staff.

Lovely cosy old Cotswold pub. Welcoming and homely with a beautiful walled garden. I stayed here during the recent heatwave in a comfortable cool ground floor room as requested, The food is good and the staff are wonderful, kind and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. My only (very mild ) gripe is that service is rather slow in the... More

This was the first night of a four night trip to the Cotswolds and then South Wales. The 75% title is my opinion of the value for money of this hotel. We paid £169 and I do not think that it was worth that much. We stayed in a room called "Barn" which was interesting in that it had no... More

Thank you for your review and feedback. I am sorry to hear of the low during your visit. I would appreciate if you could further embellish on your evening dining experience so that I can investigate. We have lost you as a diner and have clearly disappointed and this something that I need to stop happening in the future. Between... More
