Wonderful little place to stay, with lots of character. Loved the four poster bed. Staff all very friendly, honesty bar operates later in the evening, delicious freshly cooked breakfast in the morning. A good base from which to explore the local area.
We arrived late in the afternoon with little knowledge of where we were and nowhere to stay. We stopped in at the information office and were surprised at their attitude. They were very selective in their recommendations and at no time mentioned Burford House which...More
Cosy and relaxing place to stop for lunch. Pleasant staff and great food. Lovely old building. Nice to step out from the busy high street into a calm place when you have been travelling. Second time here and prefer it to the famous tea shop...More
Burford House is a genuine "olde worldy" property on the high street of Burford in the Cotswolds. From there you can easily visit all the pretty places around and they are genuinely lovely.

Had a brief stay in the middle of a long journey. Hot tea, home made soup, fresh bread and hummous really hit the spot. Very tasty food. Definitely much better than a motorway service station (always assuming you can find parking space in busy Burford...More

For guests arriving by car please note that all parking in Burford is FREE, a real benefit as the hotel does not have its own car park. Parking is permissible in the High Street and coming down the hill from the A40 parking on the left is untimed, whereas on the right, the side of the hotel, parking is limited to two hours between 8:30am and 6pm. If the town is extremely busy upon arrival you can pull up outside the hotel, which is double yellow lines, to unload passengers and luggage and our staff will advise you the best places for parking, either in one of the side streets or the town’s main car park. Later in the evening it is usual to be able to move cars nearer to the hotel if not directly opposite.
