The rooms are tiny in some parts of the hotel, strange place. I know it's having an upgrade which I hope make the rooms look less dated and hopefully they'll noise proof some of them too. The food isn't apparently as good as it once was but this isn't a bad place to stay. The downside mainly is the price... More

We recently spent two days at this very friendly and comfortable hotel. The staff were very attentive from the minute we arrived, including the dog. The room we stayed in was lovely, although the lighting was not good for us ladies who like to apply makeup. We ate in the bar which was full of atmosphere and the food was... More

A last minute booking after a visit with work that needed an extra day. Check in was great and welcomed with a genuine smile! The room was warm, clean and tidy and shower hot! The food served at dinner was superb and the wine list impressive. All the staff were very attentive and pleased to help. Breakfast was excellent and... More

The meals here were plainly poor, under prepared; was the Chef on a break or on holiday we wondered ? We returned ours uneaten, didn't bother getting a replacement, went elsewhere. At the entrance to the Cotswolds, this place needs to up its game.

We stayed here last year. I called in on the off chance of getting a room. The staff couldn't be more helpful. The room was lovely and the atmosphere throughout the hotel is welcoming and relaxing. All this is topped off with a fantastic breakfast.

We often go here with the family and have the carvery on a Sunday. The food is always lovely and much better than another local carvery we find! Lots of space and you can always go and enjoy a drink in the bar afterwards. We take our young children and find it family friendly.

We called into the Cotswold Gateway Hotel on our way back from a rather traumatic visit to an elderly relative. In some need of alcoholic refreshment and decent grub we found both at this lovely establishment. We were warmly greeted by Nathan, the manager, who also welcomed our Springer Spaniel with a biscuit and a bowl of water. We enjoyed... More

During my recent stay, I encountered an emergency situation concerning my elderly mother, who lives nearby, which meant that my movements and timings became subject to change at short notice. The manager and staff were all most sympathetic and kind, going out of their way to meet my need for flexibility. I could not have asked for better service and... More

Stayed mid week whilst on business. Nice size room with comfy bed, bathroom area however could do with a refit but other than that very nice. Bar and restaurant areas are very welcoming with pleasant staff. Would certainly stay again if ever in the area.
