I booked a couple of nights here as a convenient base for some travel I wanted to do. It is a great location for visitors to Nottingham Castle and the surrounding eating places and hostelries. I read a number of reviews on TripAdvisor and have to say that I disagree with many of them. All of the staff I encountered... More

Hotel as expected, clean, fresh, good coffee in the room, tv, all clean, I only stayed one night so my experience is limited and I did not eat at the hotel, bar looked nice, not as many people about as I would have thought but good, if you park in the NCP it is right next door to the hotel,... Great hotel, in excellent location. Used to be Rutland Square hotel, and has been done up very well. Opulent entrance with comfy bar. Rooms really comfy if a bit on the small side. Bathrooms could do with a bit of tlc, as a bit dated, but all in all a great find and excellent value for money

Hotel is in great central location with good ncp parking next door. Hotel is botique style with rooms having had a recent makeover with bathrooms fine but not having been updated. Rooms complete with all accessories inc iron, hairdryer etc and good tv. Check in and check out a little slow. Would stay again without hesitation.

Stayed here with a group of others. Hotel itself in a great location to the City Centre and Castle. Plenty of parking at the NCP next door and the hotel provides some discount on the £11 a day charge although you could park elsewhere for less if you don't mind a walk. Hotel quite small with small rooms. Glad we... More

The room was lovely and spacious, very clean and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious with a large choice of either fried, continental or cereal. The bar area is great for relaxing. Staff very friendly. The only downside was the menu ... same as it was 12 months ago and not the best food. Thai curry looked like soup with... More

We were pleasantly surprised by the foyer of the hotel. The discounted NCP parking is directly next door to the entrance so you can't miss it. The room was pleasant and for the price we paid we couldn't moan. Within 5/10 minute walking distance into the city centre. Only faults I would pick is that the shower pressure was very... More

Well I thought I would stay in historic building in the middle of town and was pleasantly surprised on arrival - usual delay in checking in as desk was singular manned. Horrified by he decor once out of reception - silver feature walls and deep purple corridors looked like a 70s discotheque. Into a very small room with a quirky... More

Ok so I travel a lot with work and I'm used to snags and problems but this hotel is turning into a favourite. The room was spotless. I made a point (somewhat anally) of wiping a finger over the suspended lighting and it was perfectly clean. The glassware sparkling and the mirrors again spotless. But the problem I have with...
