Have stayed a few times as near offices for work, but this time was not as welcoming. We arrived at 18:05 on a Sunday evening and only found out that the kitchen closes at 18:00 on Sundays!! Not so good as we had a long drive and were looking forward to a meal and a relaxed beer then sleep! There... More

This place is a real gem. Old and rambling oozing charm with staff that all so pleasant. We had large ensuite room well appointed with everything you would need. The best nights sleep I've had in a long while. The food was very good and plenty of it, all this for an unbelievable price. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

This pub is a great place for a decent family meal, or to grab a quiet corner with the wife! Beer always good, plenty of guest ales. The bar staff are friendly and the food is good value. Glad this pub is in the town.

A local pub and hotel with a good selection of beers and ales. The food is very good and homemade. The pub boasts character, with three real fire places. The staff are friendly and add a personal touch to your visit. There's a popular quiz night on Sundays and they bring round sandwiches it's all very lovely. For good weather... More

This is a great pub. The beer is good the food is great and the atmosphere is very friendly. We stayed for one night and the rooms are excellent. Spotlessly clean, large and comfortable with everything you need for a perfect stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The locals give it that homely typical British pub feel. Highly... More

I love this pub so much, the landlord and staff are so friendly (even though we turn up with our scooter club and cause a big busy surge at the bar). It's got gorgeous cosy rooms inside and great seating areas front and back outside. The landlord even put out free mushy peas and chips for us last night when... More

Overall very comfortable. The bed was big and cozy the room was pleasant although could do with a repaint and some redecorating. The bathroom was functional but again a bit tired. The food in the bar was wholesome and reasonably priced but the breakfast was a superb set up for the day. Free parking although a bit of a so... More

Stayed at the weekend for a family event in Eastwood. Was made very welcome, and well looked after when we returned very late. Well, in time for breakfast. Feeling a bit 'tired' we were allowed to extend our check out time, which we are hugely great full for. Thank you.
