Went for this inn as it was close to Hardian's Wall. Room we had was small but comfortable, ideal for walkers with little luggage. Staff were great and approachable and the menu had a good range of locally sourced produce. The breakfast the next day was to die for. It was cooked to perfection and set you up for the...

We stopped here for a light lunch on Saturday at about 13:30. The good part was that although the Inn was less than half full but the heating was on 110% full. We ordered two burgers and waited, we could see the service from the Kitchen and counted three mains, two mains and a sandwich after 45 minutes I was...

This B&B is located within metres of the best part of Hadrian's Wall. The service and food are faultless. Indeed, the evening meals are quite wonderful and would put the best London pubs to the test. The rooms are quite small, but space is generously allocated to the en suite bathroom. There is nothing to fault about this Inn. We...

Nicely located Pub/Hotel. The staff were very helpful & accommodating. Food & beer were good. My only little problem is the room quite small but very useably, we had cracking views across the hills so no complaints at all there. The rooms could do with more sound proofing, as we could hear all sorts of noises including somebody coughing their...

Visited for lunch after a walk in such a pretty area. Dogs welcome, so in we went. Really clean inside and modern looking, didn't have that dirty pub carpet and chairs feel about it, but my goodness what a wait! Arrived at 1pm and stood at the bar for about 15 minutes (and I'm being serious) watching other people being...

Dear Jacqui L, Many thanks for your review, I believe your husband may also have left a similar review so our response to both is same - this is not good enough. From the initial contact by telephone, to the warm welcome by friendly and helpful staff, I immediately felt that my stay at The Twice Brewed Inn mattered to them. The room was very clean and fresh, and had astounding views over the Northumberland countryside with all the fascinating Roman sites on the doorstep. The food was delicious, with plenty of...

The room was neat and clean, but very small and sparsely furnished with very little storage space - no wardrobe, just a coat rack on the wall, no chest of drawers, just 3 very small drawers under the writing table, and a small double bed. Worse, it was freezing cold, tho' when we asked we were quickly given a portable...

Dear voxhumani, Many thanks for leaving a review of The Twice Brewed, we are so sorry to hear your rooms was cold, this is not the norm but hopefully the heater helped somewhat. My girlfriend, and my two sons and I went on Sunday after a nice day at Housesteads Roman Fort. We ordered 3 burgers and chips, and 1 hot meat sandwich. We waited 45 minutes for the food to arrive.
