The Twice Brewed Inn is the only game in town for travelers wishing to stay close to the most scenic portion of the Hadrian's Wall Path and to Vindolanda. As such, it's a busy oasis. Large groups of cyclists and bikers were fellow guests when we visited. Small, but modern and apparently recently upgraded rooms. WiFi only worked with strength... More

We decided to spend a night here as a stop off on the way to Scotland for the week to break up the long journey from Leeds. I personally had been here 7 years ago as a party of 9 doing the usual walks around HW and found it very cosey, welcoming and inviting. Since then there have been some major... More

We stayed at the property for one night and, as before, were absolutely delighted by the tranquil rural setting. We arrived on a sunny and warm summer afternoon and spent the rest of the afternoon in the open area at the south-facing rear of the pub. Absolute country bliss. Our room was also above the open area, giving us a... More

Ideally situated, short, downhill walk off trail. Friendly helpful staff. Comfortable room, quite tight for space as twin room. Not much noise absorption, so early night is difficult but bed is comfortable. Understaffed due to sickness so breakfast service was slow, condiments hidden away, wrong food to table. Food is alright though.

Dear RJT102, Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review of The Twice Brewed Inn, it is good to hear you had a comfortable night. Not sure about the condiments being hidden away, we do try to make things as easy as possible at breakfast time, this may have been due to the aforementioned illness so we were... More

Spent four nights here exploring the region. Perfect location for walking some of the best parts of the wall and very close to Vindolanda. Food was great and so was the service. Very friendly team. Wifi is a bit spotty and not available in the room I had but that is a good excuse to grab another pint at the... More

Fab food, friendly prompt service. Great location with stunning views and a lovely beer garden. Having walked here from Haltwhistle (not an easy walk!) we were relieved to see it served food all day and we enjoyed drinks and lunch. Clean toilets. Caught bus from twice brewed into Haltwhistle as we couldn't manage the walk back!! (£4). Locals are friendly.

Shared a local cheese & meat platter and then had the chicken stuffed with haggis served with a bowl of fresh veg. Food was of a really good quality and well presented. We had no room for puds but they all looked good! Service was swift and friendly. We will return!

Welcome break after a windy day on the walk. Room was cosy and had everything needed to dry clothes and freshen up. Evening meal and breakfast were high quality and nothing was too much trouble. Good value for money. Just off the path so great location.

We stopped in the Twice Brewed Inn looking for accommodation while walking the Hadrian Way Path. The lounge area was so comfortable, clean and welcoming, we just wanted to sink into chairs and never leave. Unfortunately, there were no rooms available for us (we hadn't booked). BUT, the lovely young woman at the bar could not do enough to help... More

Room small but clean and perfectly comfortable. We had booked a twin but got a double but we just put up with that rather than complain as it was no big deal. Wi fi didn't work. Lovely dinner and good breakfast. Packed lunch was poor though. The roll with cheese savoury was a mass of sogginess by lunchtime and the... More
