A warm welcome on a pitch black, rainy and windy evening late December was very welcome. Coming from the direction of Carlisle then through Hexham, it is not the easiest place to find, but the farm is well signposted on the main road. The room had everything you would need from kettle to hairdryer, lovely bedding and stylish curtains. The... More

We were bought a holiday voucher by our son & daughter in law as a thank you for helping pay for their wedding. As it was my birthday we were looking forward to a lovely weekend. We checked this place out on Trip Advisor & saw the good reviews. Sadly we cannot give a positive review. The lady we met... More

We stayed in the 3 bedroom cottage for 3 nights. It was wonderful. Everywhere was warm (sometimes almost too warm) with under floor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs, all thermostatically controlled. The kitchen was very well equipped with plenty of pots, pans, crockery, utensils, appliances. Three lovely, en suite bedrooms, again well equipped. We enjoyed the place so much, and... More

We had a wonderful time. Breakfast was awesome, the hostess was very friendly and attentive. She pointed out the best places to experience Hadrians wall. Two great local pubs for dinner the Travellers Rest just down the road and the Royal and Crown in the village of Slaley. We really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at this lovely farm for one night which was too little. The building is 300 years old but the rooms and bathrooms have been beautifully restored and upgraded. The gardens and surroundings are beautiful and it certainly is a special experience to stay with Elizabeth on this farm B&B. Breakfast was a friendly and sumptious affair with most... More

My husband and I spent 3 nights here in August and were in room 2 on corner, with 2 windows offering different views. It was clean, with comfortable bed, pretty curtains and matching chair cushion. Ideal for families and anyone who likes country holidays. Within walking distance of 2 pubs, both offer evening meals every night except Sun. Hexham only... More

We stayed three nights in the 3 bedroom self catering cottage for a long weekend. We had both sets of grandparents with us as well as our farm-loving three and a half year old. Each room had an ensuite bathroom, and ours had a kingsize bed plus a single bed. We were very comfortable and had fantastic views out of... More

Booked a family room and stayed for 1 night after visiting Hadrian's Wall and on our way up to Scotland. Our hostess was kind and welcoming and left us to explore, after giving us directions to the nearest pub on foot! We had a double, a single and a trundle, all with very comfy mattresses and very good quality bed... More
