Stayed at Rye Hill farm recently (Couple with Dog) with a view to doing some walking. The room had everything that we needed kettle, TV, toiletries and a hairdryer. It wasn't a huge room but that wasn't a problem for us. The fried breakfast was super with a good selection of cereal and a toaster for you to make your... More

We stayed here for one night while travelling between 2 holiday cottages. Elizabeth is very friendly and welcoming and has made the farm a lovely place to stay. Room 3 is pretty and spacious enough with a great en suite bathroom. We found it to be very hot even with the bedroom and bathroom windows open all night. The bed... More

I expect the wasps were out as it was one of the few nice warm evenings we had had for a long time! I dont like to kill them off if they are not bothering people and some times it can be hard to find the nest. More

lovely rooms, everything was immaculate, and while it was close to Hexham it was lovely and quiet, beautiful views over the countryside - really enjoyed the working farm environment, including cats, chooks and dogs - highly recomended and very professionally run

The farm is in a lovely location, not too far from main roads but in a beautiful quiet spot. We were made to feel very welcome (including my border collie!) and very impressed with the facilities. Our room was large and very clean with an exceptionally comfortable bed and ample supplies of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Breakfast was very... More

Arrived after an afternoons walk with tired dog and people, and instantly made to feel at home with a warm welcome. Comfortable bed, hot bath and a good breakfast. Really pleased to find this place. Nice pub juts down the road as well...pretty perfect really!

Stayed here for a long weekend on May Day bank holiday. We had the self catering cottage and it has everything you need. This is a working farm and the lady who runs it Elizabeth was very friendly and knowledgeable . We were there to walk Hadrians Wall, which is about 20 mins drive if your start point is Housesteads.... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at Rye Hill Farm for the weekend in February. It is somewhere we would definitely recommend if you're staying in the Hexham area. The farm, B&B, holiday cottage and campsite are all run by Elizabeth who is an incredible woman. All that work plus ponies, chickens and 83 sheep made me feel tired just watching... More

A warm welcome on a pitch black, rainy and windy evening late December was very welcome. Coming from the direction of Carlisle then through Hexham, it is not the easiest place to find, but the farm is well signposted on the main road. The room had everything you would need from kettle to hairdryer, lovely bedding and stylish curtains. The... More
