A beautiful location with a super garden. We ate outside and the scones were the best I have ever tasted. Just like mother used to make. Soft, warm and full of fruit. The service was excellent and the new owners were charming.

Stayed here during our Hadrians Wall walk. Our host collected us from pre arranged location and took us to the most beautiful B&B. It was like stepping back in time, just a few houses, a church and a village green. Our room was beautifully decorated and overlooked the garden which was alive with wild birds. Spoilt for choice at breakfast,... More

From first arrival on Friday to departure Sunday afternoon we can not fault our hosts for their warm welcome, their hospitality, their accommodation, delicious food, location and surroundings! Absolute bliss! Our three children and ourselves made use of the beautiful gardens on each of the days and we were blessed with great weather. This is a picture postcard English country... More

This was our first stop on a Hadrian's Wall walk, and we thought it a perfect way to begin. The hosts were warm and helpful, and the accommodations were everything we had hoped for. Would love to come back -- but it's more than 5,000 miles away.

Firstly what a beautiful location! A complete peaceful gem in a quaint village. I stayed 2 nights in the B&B with three children and had a wonderful experience. The B&B has recently changed owners, they are very friendly and hospitable and we were made to feel very welcome indeed. Comfy beds and a very tasty full English set us up... More

This is certainly a place to visit even if only for a piece of cake and cup of tea. Ann is such a lovely lady who just can not do enough to make you feel welcome. We stayed for 2 nights b&b and it was bliss. The décor was a bit dated and needs updating but the rooms were well... More

Travelled several miles to visit this tearoom as it had been recommended. According to their website it was open every day throughout the year. At 2.30 on a sunny weekday there was not a soul anywhere to be seen. I would suggest updating the website with accurate opening times and removing or covering up roadside signs stating it is open... I am so sorry that you travelled to the tearoom only to find it closed.Unfortunately I was rushed to hospital yesterday and did not return to Simonburn until this morning. I can only apologise and hope that you contact me so that I can invite you back to the tearoom. Kind Regards Ann More

The Simonburn B&B really is in a beautifully peaceful location. Ann is a very welcoming host and takes care of you. We stayed in the Double room which was comfortable and a decent size. It overlooks the lovely gardens. Negative point: The Simonburn B&B website and Expedia who we booked through, DON'T say there is only 1 shared bathroom between... More

We have just spent two lovely nights at this delightful B&B. It is a very peaceful haven, which is ideally located to all the historic attractions. The owner is very welcoming and friendly and made us us feel at home.
