Excellent food and accommodation, friendly and inviting staff and a superb location for hiking, biking or just touring the beautiful area. We have stayed on a number of occasions and find ourselves drawn back time and time again.

Booked in for a birthday meal in this lovely hotel only to find that on ordering from the menu painted on the mirror in the bar, that due to being busy between Christmas and New Year that very few options were available. We had to order by process of elimination and ended up having to have a starter as a...

The CB Inn is set in a superb location in the heart of Arkengarthdale. Only a short distance away the village of Reeth is a well-known centre for outdoor activities (especially walking) in Swaledale, - though, of course, Arkengarthdale itself lends itself to walking amongst some splendid scenery. We found the CB Inn to be very welcoming in all respects,...

Stayed here in November as we were attending Scouting for Girls Concert at Tan Hill Inn which was full, really pleased it was as the fact we stayed at CBI made the weekend an adventure!! We used the taxi driver recommended to us by hotel for getting to and from Tan Hill Inn, although it was snowing heavily he got...

Me and the family took opportunity of a room deal to get away for the night even though we live not far away, meaning could have a few pints without breaking the bank. Room massive and was ideal with 2 futons for the kids. Fresh milk in the residents lounge. Great warm fire and pleasant bar area, also pool area...

We stayed here as we were attending an event at the Tan Hill as they were fully booked. Fab location for the Tan hill with it being only 8 miles away. Although when the snow hit it seemed like forever. We arrived and were shown to our room. A lot of stairs so not suitable for people that struggle with...

Amazing pub in the middle of the Dales National Park. Squishy sofas, roaring fires, great food, wonderful staff. What more do you want? Stayed for two nights with friends and our dogs. Fantastic place. Will stay again.

We stayed at a holiday cottage in the village but was only a 10 minute walk to The CB Inn. We had our young cocker spaniel with us and we were all made so welcome, lunch times just for a drink and once for lunch, where we were meeting some friends and then on our last night we had dinner....

We booked the valentines night away here, and I'm honestly sorry I've only just managed to right about it - because honestly, it was amazing! Walking into a pub like setting with the firelit was just what we needed after a cold 2-hour drive. Check in was simple and personal, we were led to our room which was really nicely...

Our room was spacious, with a good view, very functional 'en suite' and a wonderfully comfortable bed. You get the feeling that this old hotel has been providing a very high level of hospitality for a very long time. Free wifi worked well. The hotel is located on a road that is quiet at night, in a wonderfully scenic part...
