Just returned from what was an AMAZING Easter break at the CB, couldn't fault a thing. Staff and food are second to none, large selection of local gin that the friendly young man behind the bar told us about & what was best with what gin, lets just say our heads where a little sore Sunday morning but worth it!...

Just spent a weekend here for my Dad's round-number birthday. Mum and Dad have been many times before, but for my partner, my sister and myself it was the first time. We could not have been luckier with the weather - a beautiful warm Spring weekend with glorious sunshine, and the views from the hotel really are magnificent. We'd done...

Food was great , not cheap and I'd have liked to see a fresh menu for day 2 but very tasty . Breakfast was great , they ran out of yoghurt and...

First class accommodation/food and staff. Nothing too much problem after we were transferred here from their sister hotel that was suffering electrical problems. We will have no hesitation about returning or recommending this dales pub/hotel.

I have stayed at the CB around a dozen times - on my own, and with various family members and friends. The rooms are excellent, the food is always superb and the service is friendly and helpful, including taking in to account any special dietary requirements. The bar, where I always choose to eat, feels like a "local", but the...

We stopped off overnight on our way to Northumberland I can more than recommend eating here. We shared a delicious pickled and smoked fish starter followed by a perfectly cooked piece of cod for me and a confit pheasant dish for my partner. The atmosphere is warm and cosy and the staff pleasant and very helpful. We will most certainly...

Had to cancel on the day we were due to arrive due to the sudden and unexpected passing of my Father in law that day. Telephoned them, they were very unsympathetic and cold hearted, they then charged me £195 on top of my £75 deposit. They appeared to have rebooked our room for at least one of the nights. I...
