had a nice welcome, staff friendly. room was maybe a little smaller than i was expecting, but still very nice & well kept. breakfast was good, but would have liked a lager portion. only a 5/10 min walk into the centre of York, so a great base to start from. well priced, id probably stay here again.

Booked for a birthday weekend in York. As the races were on couldn't book our usual b&b so thought we'd give this a try. Unfortunately very disappointing. The whole place is tatty and cluttered. None of the furnishings in the bedroom matched. The bathroom was ridiculously tiny and the room itself was incredibly small. On arrival we had to ring...

Had a very pleasant stay at this guest house. Room was clean and comfortable and smart decor. Staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Great base for York centre (about a 10 minute walk).

Don't usually review but I would not be doing this bed and breakfast justice if i didn't. Stayed over a busy Easter weekend and was not disappointed. Location was excellent, just 5 mins away from centre; making it great value for money when you comparing it to other city centre hotels. Staff was friendly and helpful and place was very...

The Park View is a small clean and friendly guest house situated about a 10 minute walk from York Minster and the Shambles. We paid £72.50 per night including breakfast, which was among the cheapest available for Easter weekend. The en-suite double room was clean and basic, with tea and coffee, but just a little too warm even with the...

We booked online for bed and breakfast, but when we went down in the morning we was told that there was no breakfast available. When we checked our email it clearly stated including breakfast. Rang up and was asked to send a copy of my email to them, they replied by email saying they can not do bed and breakfast...

Nice traditional English B&B, well kept, clean and friendly - exactly what you'd expect. What you don't expect is that it's run by a smashing Indian family who are delightful, helpful and friendly; a far cry from the stereotypical English landlady! Only downside is that the food is limited - toast is white, tea is PG, no vegetarian option instead...

Stayed here for 2 nights in December, as York is very busy this time of year this place was really the last one available, hotel prices was £400+ for 2 nights so I had no choice. Looking at the pictures and the reviews I was really worried but myself and boyfriend are not really bothered about luxury as we are...

Stayed here over a long weekend. The rooms are very basic but clean enough. The shower worked to an extent. Breakfast was ok of you like everything fried. In the family room the people we were with had a leaking ceiling from the room above. All in all it was a little disappointing. The place is in need of a...
