I'm a bit surprised by some of the reviews on here - saying the hotel is old, dirty and things aren't cleaned. Our stay last week was lovely. We were in the main part of the hotel - Room #6 and it was cosy but clean. The bathroom was lovely and clean. The towels and bedding was new/re-made every day....

Definitely not 4* Dusty, chewing gum welded to bathroom floor, bed not changed whole time here, shower not cleaned, toiletries not replenished, had to ask for loo rolls, bed lumpy, not enough beverages, toilet not as clean as it should be,mould on shower and tap fittings.Internet connection not good. Only positive was quietness, and near city centre. Would not stay here again!

A perfectly reasonable hotel. The location is quite good for the train station and getting into the centre, but I'd say the cost reflects that. The room was small, but comfortable and sufficient for my purposes. The corridors are a tad windy, if you have difficulty getting around.

Like other reviewers did initially wonder what it would be like inside but all doubts were swept aside inside where we had a warm and friendly welcome. Our room in the mews out back was fine, warm and clean and handy back gate access to the parking-another bonus in York! We didn't have breakfast but it's good value at £6...

I visited York on my own earlier this month purely for pleasure. I had booked into The Georgian Hotel and despite first impressions I was pleased with my choice. On arrival (on foot) the first thing I noticed was a pile of cigarette butts to the right of the front door and the second was that the woodwork around the...

We stayed at the Georgian for one night for a girly get together. We had the family room for the three of us. The room was lovely, clean and spacious. We had plenty of toiletries and tea & coffee. Staff were helpful and friendly. The location was great, only 5 minutes walk into York centre. Would definitely stay again.

This b&b is a great find for anyone wanting to stay very close to the city centre; it's literally less than a 5 minute walk in which is fab and means no transport costs for the weekend. Rooms were lovely and modern with plenty of space( we stayed in room 18, in the mews section ). Nice touch of a...

My first thoughts were what a great location! - literally 30 seconds walk from the wall and a couple minutes from the Minster. There was a bit of 'home improvements' going on which was 'one of those things' and to be fair, there was no noise etc that disrupted our stay. The staff were helpful, the room was clean, bed...
