We were guests at Roger & Lesley's beautiful home for a three night stay. We discovered Turnberry House on trip advisor and our experience lived up to all the excellent reviews. We were already planning our return visit only to discover Roger & Lesley are leaving and we were some of their last guests. Your genuine warmth, skills and kindness... More

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely B&B near York city centre. The owners were lovely, friendly, helpful and made you feel very welcome. The rooms were excellent, comfortable and very homely. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice to choose from. It was a good 20 minute walk to the city centre, but the buses welere... More

We couldn't get into Pinfold Cottage on this occasion so Nicky suggested this B&B. When we arrived the owners were away and Richard and Hazel were looking after it, Well the owners don't need to worry about going away with these in charge. The B&B was spotless the breakfast amazing and the hosts were very attentive and nothing was too... More

Lovely hosts :). Booked three rooms, as we travelled to York, to participate in the Pretty Muddy Race for Life, as a family. We were given a choice of rooms, all which were huge, bright, clean and airy. Well furnished and comfy. The hosts pre booked a table for us at the Plough, 10 minute walk along Fulford Road. The... We stayed towards the end of April, using York for a base to visit other locations in Yorkshire and the North East. We had the same room as our previous stay in September 2013 and were not disappointed. Our hosts couldn't do enough for us and helped ensure our packed itinerary went without a hitch. Breakfast was excellent. We will... More

This was our first stay at Turnberry house during a weekend stay. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The house was easy to find on the main York road. There was a path that went along the river into the centre which took about 30 minutes. We thought that the guesthouse was of good quality and the breakfast was... More

My daughter is studying at York Uni so this was a great place for us to stay at over a weekend visit. It is so easy to walk into town along the river. There are a few parking spaces on the drive but we just found it easier to park in one of the adjacent side streets. My husband is... More
