Landed at this delightful place by chance while looking for a place to rent at Fulford. The bar cum restaurant was well lit with natural light. The Australian Chardonnay was for £3.75 for a 250 ml portion (very affordable). Me & my friend ordered the risotto (chicken and the vegetarian option). The chef who also served us was very friendly.... More

We had an amazing meal in the restaurant. The chef is Italian and boy his dishes are so tasty. Great Italian food. The service is faultless (thank you Ellie). A 5* meal with pub prices. WOW we will definitely be back.

We stayed here for one night on our way through York. We had a little trouble checking in as we arrived outside of check in hours and no one was on site but once there everyone was friendly and helpful. Room was standard but clean. Location is great, close to the river and the centre of town.

Lovely staff when greeted and checked out, very helpful with the payment (booked through expedia and expedia had took money out early, staff made sure i wasnt overcharged/chared again because of this), extremely clean room with complimentary shampoo and conditioner. I booked the small double room, and i wasnt expecting much but it exceeded my expectations and was lovely, nice... More

It was a nice place to stay, had a dodgy window to start with but got it sorted. The double room we stayed in was very small. The bathroom door never closed and because of that I've only given 3 stars. Would come again but might look for a bigger double room

I stayed here for one night as I was going to see a band in York. It cost less than £50 for a twin room and less than £50 for a double. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were friendly. The rooms were light, airy and clean. Our rooms were at the front overlooking the main road but noise... More

Lovely old pub with character.Room clean and decor tasteful with ensuite shower room. Room was quiet as the pub is on a main road. Very good price. City short taxi ride as we didn't walk as went to the races. Cannot comment on the breakfast as we did not stay for breakfast.

Nice cute room, friendly bar with good food. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Being only able to check at 4 was a little painful. We didn't realise when we booked and may not have booked if we'd known however an enjoyable 1 night stay.

We had a very comfortable stay here, the pub with rooms is just a ten minute walk from the city centre via the riverside walk which was lovely. The staff were all very friendly and we ate in their restaurant which offered tasty Italian food. there is also a beer garden to sit out in.
