Excellent accommodation, lovely fluffy white towels. We were on the second floor and it even offered large kitchen and lounge facilities. Beautiful and plentiful breakfast., served in the atrium. Ideally placed for access into York.

This is gem of a find. This B&B is in a brilliant location just round the corner from the train station and not far from the town. The B&B is very quaint and the staff are so helpful. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The breakfast was lovely and plenty of choices. I would defiantly recommend this accommodation and... More

Stayed one night prior to a trip on the Scarborough Spa Express. What a pleasant surprise the accommodation is excellent we had a twin room (102) which was nicely furnished with two very comfortable twin beds and pillows, flat screen TV, ample tea and coffee, hairdryer and free Wi-Fi. The bathroom had a shower and was very modern and spotless.... More

We checked in after the Front Door was closed. The welcome was warm, and there was a lot of explanatory literature in the rooms, which was spotlessly clean. We had separate toilet and bathroom with a great shower and the largest and most fluffy towels I have ever had in over 50 years of travelling! The location is literally 20... More

We stayed here for just the one night, but I think this is the hotel whenevwe we visit York in the future It's only a few minutes walk from the train station and the building itself it beautiful. It's also a heritage centre and has exhibitions in there, which unfortunately I didn't have time to look around. We got a... More

I thoroughly recommend this bed and breakfast. An excellent city centre location, close to rail station, shopping and main attractions. Spotlessly clean bedroom, friendly and attentive but not intrusive service.

I didn't actually stay here only because my friends grabbed the last available room. However they made up for it by buying us all lunch in their cafe. And a very good lunch it was too. And very reasonably priced. They've got a licence, too, though not a great choice. Though they don't do evening meals, and although they do... More

Once again the Bar Convent was excellent. Such friendly, kind staff always. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Again I had a small single room with no ensuite, but as before the loo was right outside, and the bathroom just a few feet away, no hassle at all. The Bar Convent is also extremely reasonably priced, The only slight... More

As a solo traveler, I wanted to find both great value and a comfortable spot. At the Bar Convent, I found both. I booked a single with a shared bath (which I had never done before). I was on the 3rd floor with 5 other rooms. There was one full bath and two separate lavatories. Although I know there were... More
